Seasonal flowers are always a great suggestion, especially when they can be bought from the UK or even better grown by yourself! I’m also a big fan of foraging for greenery and use plenty of tree cuttings and branches, wild grasses and ivy in my arrangements to add that natural feel but also in a way that helps to benefit the environment. These arrangements were all put together at the request of my client to be as natural and foraged or locally sourced as possible, so they all contain large portions of foliage from their estate in Cheshire as well as several flowers grown in their own veg garden. Everything was then composted on site afterwards to be put back into the soil on their estate when it’s ready

Bush to bush, flower to flower! You heard me. Incase you’re wondering where and how to hold your bouquet keep it low with your hands in line with your hips, slightly tilted forward so you can see as many of the flowers as possible. You’ll thank me later when those ending photos are on point!

C H U R C H W E D D I N G - There are several things to consider when marrying in a church. Church weddings are so lovely but there are a few things to remember.

* Sometimes they can be dark so bear this in mind when designing your florals and your colour choices.
* Whilst the features can be incredible sometimes there are restrictions on how you can fix arrangements to them as you’ll need to avoid causing damage.
* The aisle can be narrow so if you are being walked down the aisle you may want to consider what, if anything you can use flowers wise to decorate the aisle.

On the plus side however churches often have some incredible features that you can exploit like stone archways, moody vibing woodwork and wooden gates outside that can be decorated to create some truly captivating photos. I always advise my brides that where possible they should use flowers that can be repurposed at the wedding breakfast so whether you arrange for your florist to transport the flowers after your ceremony or you arrange for the groomsmen to each grab a bunch it’s worth considering to maximise the use of the flowers and manage the overall cost of your wedding.

Feels like I’ve been MIA recently. Life has been crazy busy. We’ve been looking at ways to expand the business, I’ve started a new company totally unrelated, then let’s not forget three children with three sets of kids clubs. Oh and then there’s time for me to get to the gym. Feels like one day I’ll meet myself coming back!! 🤣

How about these for a centrepiece? Muted scented pastels just being themselves in the middle of the table. They’re so dreamy! These were for a photoshoot last year which is such a beautiful wedding venue set amidst a walled garden packed full of seasonal fruits and flowers. The venue it’s definitely worth a look for all of you planning your special day if you want something unique and beautiful. The day was put together by the talented and photographed by the creative .photographer

Why get married in spring? Spring is such a gorgeous time to get married. I particularly love styling a wild style spring wedding because the trees are in bud and they just look so much more interesting in an arrangement. And don’t forget the incredible tulips, the tall delphiniums and dreamy hellebores. Oh and then there’s the blossom!! ❤️❤️….. where was I?

Today is 29th February, traditionally Bachelor’s Day, which is an Irish tradition by which women were allowed to propose to men on Leap Day. This day happens only once every four years
so if you’re a sucker for tradition then get to it girl! Time is ticking.

Wedding fayres! Who should you expect to meet at wedding fayres? Everyone you could possibly need at your wedding! Just to let you know we’re likely to be a little quieter this week as we’re away for a few days for a family trip but not to fear as I’ve brought my diary with me and I’ll still be replying to enquiries. Happy half term all!

I love my job!! And what really puts the icing on the cake is that no two enquiries are the same. The only limitation is the imagination of myself and the happy couple and of that there is plenty 😆 I genuinely feel so lucky to have found such a fulfilling and varied career ❤️

We are offering days where you can come and ‘do flowers’ so if you’re interested in extending your knowledge or trying floristry for the first time then get in touch. Workshop half days/full days are entirely bespoke depending upon what you want to learn and if you’re on your own or in a group so send us a DM and we can tailor a quote specifically to you and create something magical together!
