rosemary, and chamomile.

Hug yourself with the cocoa bean and a touch of cinnamon.
Put love in tea instead of sugar and take it looking at the stars.

Heal yourself, with the kisses that the wind gives you
and the hugs of the rain.

Get strong with bare feet on the ground and
with everything that is born from it.

Get smarter every day by listening to your intuition,
looking at the world with the eye of your forehead.

Jump, dance, sing, so that you live happier.

Heal yourself, with beautiful love,
and always remember… you are the medicine ..

Life's Little Gifts.
Sometimes life's little gifts come to us when we least expect them ...

Like words in a book that are just what we needed to hear.

Money in an old coat pocket.

A call out of the blue from an old friend.

A double rainbow after a thunderstorm.

A bloom on your orchid plant after many years.

A song on the radio that makes you smile.

A refund when you thought you had to pay.

Today is International Day of Friendship 🫶🏻

I LOVE YOUR SHOES

I said your hair looked amazing but what I really wanted to say was…
“Your energy sparks a little bit of something in mine, your smile warms my heart, and when you laugh, I just have to laugh too, it’s like a bubbling stream of fresh water running through my soul. I feel like the sun is shining on me when you’re near and when I leave you, sad as it is, I feel like I’ve been charged, plugged into the mains for an infusion of fizz and life.”
But I said “I love your shoes,” instead.
I hope you heard, what I really meant.

Your life is like a quilt

I am the taker of the photos…

I am the receiver of the groans, they eye-rolls and the hurry ups.

I am the one who disrupts the ‘moments’, to capture them.

And sometimes it’s hard to be that person.

But I am also the holder of the memories…

I am the one who keeps the precious proof.

I am the bearer of the stories, the maker of the photo books that bring tears, laughter and love rushing into the room each time they are opened.

And if you are too, please know you are capturing this life, as it happens.

You are capturing stages, ages, twists, turns and last moments no one could have foreseen.

And generations to come will thank you for it, even if no one does right now.

The eye-rolls will be replaced one day with absolute all-consuming gratitude, for the image of a smiling face so missed and a memory returned home to stay.

Keep disrupting life to capture it my friends, when it’s all that is left, someone somewhere will be so very glad you did.

YOU’RE NOT FOR EVERYONE

You’re not for everyone
but you are most definitely
for someone

and when you find yourself caught
in the trap of ‘people-pleasing’
remind yourself quickly
that you are ‘people’ too

and further refresh your memory
by recalling
that pleasing everyone
is not possible

it cannot be done
just like the sun cannot shine
on all faces at once

but when it does
when you are for someone
it is more than enough

you’re not for everyone
but it’s the ‘someones’
who matter most
the ‘someones’
who will breathe you new life
when your lungs forget how

love your ‘someones’
they’re the only ones
you need

Absolutely ❤️

This race of ours, this one race of ours, would not be here today without the soft hearts and natural nurture, of women rearing babies, children, adults (and one another), in a hard and nasty world.

We are the reason.

Not the war-mongers or the ‘brave’ leaders, the women who bring up the next generation.
Over and over again. Always with love at the heart.

These hormones keep us vulnerable, it is true, but for very good reason. We are here to love, nothing else - and those hormones bring us back into that place.

So maybe we should honour these ‘silly’ tears that flow unbridled, when a video of a dog is seen sitting at its owners grave day in, day out. Or a baby hears her parents voices with an aid, for the very first time.

I don’t think they are silly at all. I think they are life itself.

Our growth is in our hands which is why I drew this for Growing Brave. Every day we choose love instead of hate or resentment, we are unlocking a beautiful life. We don’t tolerate bad behaviour but when things we cannot control come for our soft hearts, we don’t harden up either… love is the only way through.

Have a Monday all! Full of absolutely everything that this life can bring. Lucky us. We are here. Let’s move forward and lead with love first…
