Can it be summer already please? ☀️ sipping rose by the pool with chateau views sounds like a dream right now 🙌🏼
Notice our cavashon at the end, sunbathing with Maisie cuddles are the best 🥰
Last weekend was Pride Weekend.
All around the world, people danced, marched, dressed up and celebrated difference. Cheered the fact that we are not all the same – and that the world is a better place for that fact.
And at the chateau, we were treated to a wonderful pride weekend too.
Evan and Andrew had their wedding in our sun-filled gardens, and demonstrated in their modest, classy and self-assured way what love really is.
That love is blind to race and nationality. That it ignores culture and upbringing. That it does not recognise gender, or orientation..
Love just happens when two people fit together. Perfectly.
And Evan and Andrew are so clearly, so patently, so undeniably made for each other.
It was not just a pleasure to host their wedding. To be a small part of their lives and their future.
It was not even a matter of pride.
It was an absolute honour.
Love to you both, from all your new friends at the chateau
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
The truly wonderful Alex and Arron ❤️❤️❤️
About 100 metres from the chateau is this field I pass each day with Otto. These pictures were taken between July and September. The sunflowers are now harvested and Autumn is just around the corner. Soft, quiet, calm, romantic, the air often tinged with the faint, wispy smell of woodsmoke, it is a wonderful time of year in and around the chateau.
Otto and I made some new friends on our walk near the chateau today..... 😊😊😊
Bit nippy up the Chateau today 😊
Music at Chateau de la Couronne
Beautiful music in the Chateau yesterday, on the perfect wedding day of the wonderful Hannah and Samuel ###. Thank you Delphine Roustany and your group Night Birds for the music which added so much to the day. And for the broadcast experts out there, yes, I realise my skill with a mobile phone camera is quite simply awesome. I know, I know. All those years at the BBC and Two Four were clearly not wasted. But fear not, fans of the visual arts - my talent will not go unexploited. I have let the BBC know I am available, and I am confident of getting a call to do a wildlife documentary or costume drama very soon. I'll keep you all posted.
