A lovely 5-star review just dropped into my inbox! Thank you, Amy!

I've been elbows deep all day in foliage for next weekends wedding, so reading this has made my day!

Here's what she had to say ☺️

"Absolutely gorgeous wedding flowers. I wanted a boho feel to my bridal party bouquet, and they were absolutely perfect. Beverley was lovely and made my vision come to life. Beautiful flowers ###"

Thanks again Amy, it was a pleasure to bring your vision to life 😊

For Amy and her maids!

They'll be having the best time right now, dancing the night away

Earlier, we took advantage of the amazing bath in the Coleman suite as a safe place for the flowers as everyone got ready.

A heads up, the bath is a great place for your flowers, it keeps them safe from knocks and out your way as you get ready, and generally it's a nice cool space for them out the way of any sunlight or warmth.

Let's take a moment in British flower week to appreciate the beautiful flowers that can be grown here in Britain 🇬🇧

Looking out into the countryside, it's plain to see the lush abundance of greenery. Everything is taking off and growing at this time of year. Britain is the perfect place for many flowers to grow, and adding local grown, seasonal flowers into your wedding flowers adds an element of luxury as well as being more sustainable.

Do you remember these little faces from childhood? They'd always be staring at you and be there in the background whilst you played outside in the spring and summer!

They might hold a lot of nostalgia for you, but even if they don't, their little faces will make such a lovely addition to your bouquet!

I'm growing a few varieties this year in this deep purple, light blue and peachy coral! You'll see them popping up in my work from early spring 😊, until recently, I was unaware that their stems can grow long enough for bouquets!

Another British grown addition that you'll likely never see if you go with a normal wedding florist!

Humble beginnings!

It's the end of January, and some of the annual seeds on the windowsil have already germinated. Some have even been growing slowly all winter, and it's just a couple more months before they can really put energy into growing lovely flowers!

What a lovely thought that if you're marrying this year, your flowers could already be growing 😊

Snapdragon seedlings start off so tiny, it blows my mind every year knowing that these little seedlings are going to produce such beauty 🤯

Shoots are appearing!!!

Back in late autumn, I planted over 700 bulbs for weddings in April and May.

Now, the shoots are emerging, and it's exactly what I needed to see today because it's so cold!

I hope you're wrapping up warm and keeping cosy inside... only 63 days to spring!

The pantone colour of the year was announced in late December!

The colour of the year this year is peach fuzz 🍑

I'm sure I'm not the only one who loves peachy colours in bridal bouquets!

This bouquet for Emily a few years back depicts exactly what I love to create with colour.

I must have had a premination or something because in autumn just gone, I invested in a lot of peachy and coral rose plants, like these vuvuzella roses featured!

I can't wait to show you them over the growing season!

Anyone else finding it hard trying to get through the coldest of winter days?

I keep telling myself it's almost spring! I read somewhere that spring is only 70 days away!

There's always things to do here, though, so today I've been sowing some poppy seeds direct for a blast of early summer colour.

These ones last year caught me totally by surprise, so when the seed heads formed in the autumn, I grabbed the chance and collected as many seeds as I could!

Fingers crossed, they come up this year for some beautiful blooms in May!

Care about the environment? You've just stumbled upon the perfect wedding flowers for you if you care about being more eco-conscious!

Believe it or not the average wedding flowers are not very eco-friendly, so unless a florist is actively telling you about the processes they use and the things they believe in and do differently, I'd question how eco-friendly they are if it matters to you.

When I first trained as a florist and started my career in the wedding industry I was blown away by the sheer amount of plastic waste, as a bit of insight most wholesale flowers come in wraps of 10 or 25 and each one is wrapped in plastic. So even unpacking a wholesale order can result in a lot of plastic waste.

Once I started growing my own flowers, my plastic waste reduced to zero. There's something so lovely about walking out into the cut flower garden in the spring with a few water buckets and filling them with fresh cut flowers with no plastic in sight!

When I grow wedding flowers, my couples can rest assured that every decision I make is done with sustainability in mind!

Believe it or not the answer to this question is..... it's totally up to you!

Don't be pushed into having buttonholes just because your Great Aunty Joyce said they're traditional!

Before deciding on what flowers to choose, have a think about what you want your day to feel like? Do you want flowers to be an integral part of your memories of the best day of your lives?

If you answered "yes" then I'd recommend starting with Bouquets, Buttonholes, a ceremony feature and centrepieces.

Your bouquet acts as a beautiful focal point for the day, with you in photos and at key moments. If you choose fresh locally grown florals it'll give you beautiful scent and it'll set the scene, telling a tale of the season!

Buttonholes are a lovely addition, they set the groomsmen and bridal party apart from your other guests and with an intricate design they give wonderful detail in photos.

Choosing a ceremony feature is a smart option. By bringing flowers together in one design, you'll create impact and a stunning natural backdrop for the proceedings. Having a feature in a prominent position at your venue can act as a beautiful backdrop throughout the day.

Centrepieces for your tables can add colour and freshness for your guests, as well as bringing your reception space together to create a cohesive look.

How many bulbs? 😳

This week, I got the final bulbs into soil 🙌 it was a lot of work, but it'll be so worth it come the spring! I can't wait to use so many of them in weddings across March, April, and May.

Want to guess how many I've planted this year? 🤔

Pop your guesses in the comments, and I'll let you all know the answer in my stories tomorrow!

To help you, I'm growing tulips
Narcissi, Muscari, Scilla, and
Anemone bulbs for spring!
