As with everything, next day, whilst still feeling all the lovely vibes, next job...

This is very exciting as the theme is centred around the Pantone colour of the year: Peach Fuzz 🍑
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Its a lot of fun exploring ideas for an open day and working with the suppliers to find a theme and style that works for everybody. Peach to me is a little love it or hate it as a focal colour and could easily get a little too twee which isn’t my style.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
My challenge is to take Peach and show it off my way through flowers. I have started to explore this through ribbons and dried flowers (picture 2) and the colour strength/variation is really interesting.

Day 8 of the month of love and I have found myself dreaming of sunnier times and beaches. So much so we booked our summer holiday over the weekend 🥳

For 5 minutes on a Monday is the perfect time to daydream of holidays and escaping to foreign shores so today is all about a holiday destination that you love?

Cracking on with day 7.... not sure where day 6 went but let’s keep that our little secret!

Today let’s talk about how you love to spend your spare time?

Do you have a hobby that really sets your heart on fire?
Travelling? Sports? Cookery? Crafts?
So many possibilities...

So getting my hands on flowers is what sets my heart on fire. Planning, designing, coming up with creative concepts, colour palettes, mixing dried and fresh stems... I then also love exploring other artistic avenues to see how I can develop my skills. Last year, I did a pottery class and this year I am going to a life drawing workshop. Perhaps not directly related but stretching my creative muscles always inspires me.

Away from creative pursuits, I have a relatively new found love for yoga and paddle boarding and both make me super excited. I intend to make space this year for both.

Do you visit the library? Today is ‘Take your child to the library day’ so we went yesterday (of course) and as Ivy and I entered the library our faces... well mine... had the look of love at both her and at all the books... a bit like the photograph... hers on the other hand was of disinterest and an immediate reminder that she had in fact just finished school and didn’t require yet more books in her life!

🥂 Welcome 2024 🥂

Sorry I’ve been a little quiet, time away from socials was really important to reflect and celebrate the achievements of 2023 and start to consider my goals and focus for 2024!

I was also shattered to be honest. It was a busy end of the year with a wedding and lots of wreath making workshops.

Thank you so much for all your support in 2023. It was quite the come back after such a nightmare in 2022. I couldn’t do it without the beautiful community that supports my business and if you are reading this then you are part of it.

The likes, comments, saves, shares, enquiries, orders and reviews are all vital for my business to thrive and grow. So thank you again and I can’t wait to meet more of you and continue to spread floral joy 🌿

I don't know about you but my thermals are out! Part of the floristry job description is being ok with being cold and I have to say that every year it does get a little bit more acceptable... she says with an ever increasing range of winter wear!😂
