Of all the events I organise I think one of my favourites has to be the bi annual pig party for the pig group I’ve been a member of for the last decade or so. It’s a great time to bring together all the pig groups from the local village and celebrate healthy and sustainably reared pork. It’s a bit sad too mind. This was the first year I missed the pigs after they went off to meet their maker. And I can see why some previous members have turned vegan. Personally I think if you’re going to eat meat, this is the best way to do it and we’re very lucky to live in a place where there are lots of local farm shops. Buying local has never been more important and any way we can reduce our dependence on the supermarkets gets my vote.

Quick visit to see my Mum this half term whilst my Dad was away walking with friends. His vines were the best they have ever been. Most probably due to the late season heat wave. They taste pretty good too- if you don’t mind seeds. I’ve known this home for 50 years so the vine feels like a very old friend. It was good to catch up - if only to slow down.

It was a busy week last week with this brilliant event produced for my campaign group the I gathered a panel of amazing young visionaries and brought them all to the local pub as part of the . The audience were brilliantly receptive and we debated (amongst other things) transport, education, direct action, policy change, law and so much more. We need to work together across all demographics to make our communities better and I was delighted that we had every age group under 10 yrs represented in one space. Next step? To@so this bigger and better with more people and maybe not in a pubs back garden. Thanks to the for hosting and fellow Hurst Rethink founder for being a great compère. And most of all thanks to all the brilliant young people whose voices I can still hear 💚 , Lillia Amatt, .green, Ella Eason and Ilse Orson-Jones

I have a new contract! Working with to produce a portfolio of events promoting the WSCC campaign 🌎 I loved this event showcasing the beautiful venue together with delicious food that is . Huge shout out to Griff and Stella for being so utterly brilliant at all they do. Together with a massive fist bump to Loz for giving me the opportunity to work on the project 💚 Meeting small business on their journey towards a more sustainable environment for all couldn’t make me happier.

🍎 It’s a pretty special day when you can pick apples from your tree, cycle 5 minutes up the road and have them pressed and transformed into juice within the hour. Delicious as well. Thank you . Thank you trees. There is nothing lovelier than a community event ❤️

So I had the idea to do an event for the where we invited all of the community(60 came out of 7000, but you’ve got to start somewhere) to come together and re think how we all do life. This was in 2020 when we were at the peak of our first lock down so it was a virtual event in the end. We had speakers from the , , and a woman who had been instrumental in rolling out a community covid response team in the village. I wanted to know how we could take all the positive things we had learned in the lock down, like caring for our neighbours, shopping locally, appreciating nature etc, and roll it all forward. Not just forget about it all and carry on as before. It was a fascinating debate which lead unintentionally to the creation of a community group- The . I have been running this with fellow co-creator for two and a half years now and It’s been a bit of a distraction- to say the least. But I love it. We work in 5 areas; Biodiversity, Transport, Green consumer, Green Energy and Community with initiatives spinning off within each. My busy ‘work’ season is coming up so the spinning will slow down soon but not before we get 10 swift boxes up in Hurstpierpoint ahead of their migratory arrival and a No Mow May campaign launched and away and possibly one more Bike Swarm. Warms the heart when times are cold for sure 💙🚲️❄️🐝💙

Not only do I love the quite of winter for it’s peacefulness and time for planning, I love it because the wild land behind our house is resting and still, which allows us to see what is really there. Before all the nettles, thistles and brambles take over once again we have begun clearing and reshaping the landscape to enable us to plant some more apple trees and build a great big lovely fat pond. We have talked to people who know how to manage land for wildlife so ALL we will do is add rather than take anything away. My vision is to one day host micro events here for mini people so that the joy of our rich and beautiful biodiversity can be planted in hearts from an early age. Plus it all needs protecting too of course which is why I love my work with the so much. More on that soon. And in the meantime, look at this lovely mess made by a sparrow hawk eating a pigeon in our garden. The cycle of life beautifully illustrated in feathers and leaf and a fascinating live event in itself for my son, who watched the whole capture, death and destruction first hand .

I do love the quite months of winter when I get to relax and have early nights and spend darkened days visioning how the rest of the year will look and feel ✨ This wedding event season I will work less but choose well as I have discovered (the hard way) that stress is no longer a sustainable life mode. So having visioned my perfect clients I am quietly sitting patiently, waiting for them to appear. They are lovely humans, kind hearted and fun. They love Sussex and are looking for outside venues where they can celebrate under trees, in gardens, by lakes or in old barns. They support local suppliers and producers because they can see the amazing richness and all the diversity that the farmers, growers, vinters and artists of Sussex can offer without needing to be shipped in from far off lands. They are lovers, mothers, celebrators of life who have also discovered that stress is unsustainable- and that is why they find me. Plus they LOVE a rip roaring party, a ho**ey tonk knees up or a wild and vibrant extravaganza that can sometimes go on for days... I can't wait to meet them 💐🥂🎊🌈💝

Turning 50 is a perfect excuse to celebrate- in a BIG way. It’s a time to bring old friends together with new friends with a sprinkling of family as well. How much family depends on where you plan to celebrate and how hard! Rekindling a youthful vibe at the prospect of turning an autumnal 50 lends itself to the Halcion days of the big night out with all night dancing and carrying on into the following day or even days. The re-birth of the three-day party where friends can come together in a field, a country estate, a villa or even a châteaux is a very exciting development in all things Party! I am getting a lot of enquires at the moment for just this sort of thing, which is excellent news. So if you know anyone with a big birthday coming up or indeed any other celebratory event in need of some extra magic and support, send them my way. Taking the stress out of the planning is what I do best 😍

It was a dream job. Working for a 3 day wedding with a Brighton couple and their amazing group of friends and family. There were so many elements that came together to create the perfect melting pot of love and celebration. From the tipi and gorgeous crew to the photographer seen here taking a fabulous pic post ceremony. And it was in the small places that the magic could be found, like around the fire after most of the guests had left. And in the woods where the darkness held close the light and love of the day. Woodfords is booking for 2024 and still has some availability for 2023. So do get in touch if you have an event coming up and are seeking a magical venue and some top rated suppliers to enhance it.

I was so honoured to be a guest at the wedding of Anuja to Rupa- Arun's cousin, in Goa this December. As a guest I absolutely loved every minute. And as a wedding planner I was blown away by the amount of incredible elements that combined to create this magical and magnificent three day event.

This beautiful display announced the After Party which took place the night BEFORE the wedding ceremony. Amazing. And that's because it was the after party to the Haldi Ceremony and Sunset Sparkle Sundowner event that took place earlier in the day! Can't keep up? neither could I, but don't worry- there will be more on all these extraordinary events later...

All you need to stay focused on right now is the colours- EXCEPTIONAL, the display- STUNNING and if you swipe through, those two gorgeous disco balls which, quite frankly, no event should be held without.

As a reflection of the gorgeous bride and bride, this display simply Had. It. All💫

Happy New Year folks and well done for getting through the first week or so of January!

I'm feeling pretty good about 2023 TBH. I'm rested, rejuvenated and ready to GO. My plan for the year is three fold 1) to work with some amazing clients and create some magical, memorable and majestic events 2) to have FUN and generate love and light whenever and wherever possible 3) to manifest some mindful moments for myself to keep the tone and PACE real.

So... I can't wait to work with you, have fun with you or have some blissed out time with you. Perhaps even all three at once. Sending huge love and luck to you all for 2023 and between us let's keep the flow -of all things good and great -moving 🙏💝✨

Look at these two lovely chaps from . By far my favourite event caterers 2022 for their food and staff in equal measure. It never ceases to impress me how a space with nothing but trees can be transformed into a functioning kitchen producing fine dining for a couple of hundred people. Only to disappear without trace in a matter of hours. I've worked with these guys in fields and barns across Sussex and enjoyed their company (and food) each and every time. These plates of artisan coloured meringue awaiting their raspberry ripple cream and dusting of popping candy are just DELICIOUS. Looking forward to eating with you again soon Circa ❤️

I love fireworks (sorry pets) and whilst the official season may be long gone I thought I'd share the magic of these awe inspiring explosions of light and colour ahead of the weekend. Thanks for taking this photo of the boys and for reminding me that there is magic to be found in friendship, dark nights and celebrating the start of something new. With our without fireworks. And whatever time of year. Have a great weekend all ❤️

Yeah so I may or may not have turned a significant number this year. Growing old gracefully was always my thing- but I can see how this may be tested this next decade. Still, the point of this post is to celebrate all the tiny bubbles of joy that birthdays enable. For me, I chose NOT to have one large bash but lots of little micro celebrations with as many of my friends as was geographically possible. And I loved them all. I had a high end cream tea , a bonny boat ride at the in Barcombe, a rooftop spa experience with my other half , a long table lunch and a week away walking in Jersey. I stretched things out from June to October and haven't finished yet. So if you haven't celebrated with me yet, come on. Give me a shout ❤️

Sleeping in the back of a van with your mates when you're 10. What an event. Whilst I'd usually recommend more fitting accommodation for my clients, there's no beating an ad hoc sleep over when you're parents are at a party and don't want to leave. TEN. What a cool age. Happy Friday everyone ❤️

I used to love hosting parties for my kids. Choose a theme, find a venue and book an entertainer- preferably with reptiles. Then fill the kids up on snacks and sugar before sending them home with a book or a plant as a thank you gift (no plastic tat allowed!) It was always so exhausting, but so incredibly worth it. My only bug bear with the whole children's birthday party deal is the WASTE. Things have got alot better- paper straws for example but 1 use cups and plates are still a BIG THING. Someone locally used to advertise a party box to hire or borrow. In it were 30 reusable cups, 30 reusable plates and a water jug or two. Such a good idea and worth reintroducing for sure. With a bit of training the kids could even do the washing up. Though doubtful! ❤️

Girls Girls Girls. Oh how I love my female buddies and one by one we all seem to be hitting some important milestones. Celebrating a birthday with favourite friends and family is up there on the scale of lasting memories to love and cherish. So how about making the process stress free. One of the things I love about my job is taking the stress from my clients and transforming this into real time, visible and effortless solutions. One part 'party organiser', another part 'stress therapist'. Throw in the role of occasional taxi driver and you have the full package. What's not to love. Whether it's an 18th, 21st, 30th through to 90th birthday celebration, however big or small, creating the perfect balance for my clients is pure JOY ❤️

Flowers! What could be more gorgeous than planting your own blooms for your wedding bouquet. Just choose your colour theme, sow your seeds then watch them grow. And if you haven't got the planting space or green fingers, its worth hunting out the magical few florists who can do this for you like the brilliant . Her Sussex grown flowers are just gorgeous. These are some she grew for a fabulous barn wedding in Firle I had the joy of coordinating. Quintessential to say the least.

old Sussex barn complete with locally grown flowers couldn't be a more glorious setting for a wedding. Chuck in some English sparkling wine, some locally sourced food and a Brighton based band and DJ and before you know it your guests are refusing to go home. Fortunately, my skill set includes herding cats so getting guests home at the end of the night is part of the job. You're welcome.

Styling a wedding venue can often feel effortless by the simple fact that the space is inhabited by the bride. When we styled Woodfords for this photoshoot a few years back, everywhere the model sat became a place of beauty. The backdrop is unquestionably stunning, and the flowers add an extra layer of magic but it was the alchemy of all these elements combined that made the results so brilliant. Simple, stunning and memorable. It's all to do with the bride.

To throw or not to throw? Should that even be a question? Hell no! I love this part of the wedding the most. Watching the guests jostle for space, elbows polished, heels off-best friends turned arch enemy as the competition sets in. it's often caught by a bleary eyed dude, usually tall, without a care in the world. Until he's mobbed by champagne fuelled singletons. I exaggerate of course, but really, who doesn't want to catch a bouquet. We all want to win. Don't we? 😉

Can you create a photo display for our wedding please? Yes I can. The wedding is tomorrow....could you do it erm...now please? You betcha! Being a wedding coordinator is never dull and these last minute challenges are what I love best. Within a couple of hours I'd found the pallet. And with some string and mini pegs it was ready to be adorned with this couples beautiful snaps of their Singapore wedding ahead of their UK one. Looking through the photos was a heartwarming experience connecting me further with their family and friends, many of whom couldn't be there on the day. It's in the detail and small spaces that the magic happens and I felt privileged to be able to help generate a little bit more of this for their special day 😍

Tipi's I adore you 😍and I'm so very happy to have connected up two of my favourite ingredients. The magical space that is AND the brilliant for a wedding in September 2022. It's going to be awesome guys. May it be a marriage that lasts a lifetime 😍 And for the bride and groom too of course 😉 Anyone choosing this set up is on the A path as far as I'm concerned. Bravo.
