I started DJ'ing when I was 14, using just my mouse to drag the crossfader from side to side on Virtual DJ.
A lot has changed in 14 years since that point. I'm probably an inch taller, I know a little bit more about the world, and I have actual adult responsibilities...
However, one thing has not changed. For all 14 years I've wanted to create and perform a live DJ set that is completely free from restrictions. No brief, no type of crowd to cater for, just playing the songs that have meant something to me over the years.
This Friday, the 28th of July, I will finally be performing and live-streaming the set that has been over a decade in the making. For each track played, I could tell you a whole story of where I heard it, who I was with and how I felt at the time.
Just like the past 14 years, this set is designed to be a journey through time and genres, from House to Techno, from Drum & Bass to Classical.
I'm very lucky to have Luke Martin performing from 7pm-8:30pm, taking us through his favourite tracks, too.
This is likely to be a one-off, so if you want to both discover something new and get a big nostalgia hit, this is the live-stream for you.
