I have a plea 🙏 It's about your first dance...
Please avoid the awkward shuffle 🙈 Adding a little turn or spin can make a massive difference and will make you feel so much happier about being in the centre of the dancefloor!
If you're nervous about your first dance and neither of you want that sort of attention, you can absolutely skip the first dance and just go straight into the party! It's your wedding day, why force yourself to do something you'll be so uncomfortable with? Another option for nervous dancers is to have your wedding party join you on the dancefloor, to ease you in and take the pressure off. Why not talk about a group number?
My top recommendation though, whether you're nervous OR will love the moment... If you can, I think doing any sort of choreographed dance (on your own or even as a group) can make a massive difference to the atmosphere in the evening. Knowing you have steps to focus on can help settle your nerves too!
It may seem like a lot, maybe even "a bit too extra", but working on your first dance together is such a unique opportunity to have a lovely, intimate experience with your partner - memories to last a lifetime ❤️ So whether you go it alone or hire a professional, I feel it's definitely something worth considering.
