Dryslwyn Castle sits on another rocky outcrop, often associated with the princes of Deheubarth and their rich history.

The small but mighty town of Kidwelly is home to just 3,500 people but it is steeped in Celtic history and culture.

Aside from Kidwelly Castle, one of the finest preserved Norman castles In Wales, and the Kymer canal and Quay, Kidwelly is also home to mysterious myth and folklore.

The lucky black cat of Kidwelly is said to have started appearing in the town after the great plague. It was therefore honoured as a symbol of salvation and deliverance
