✨️Day 3 of World Celebrants Week✨️
What are my favourite bits?!

Woaah well that's a tough one because there's just so much to choose from!! So basically it's EVERYTHING!! (apart from when my printer starts playing up when I'm about to print you ceremony or vow books!!! Then you see a very different side of Tracy🙈🤣🤣🤣)

Seriously though the best bits...

1) Getting that call or email to say you want to book me...that results in a happy dance every time!!🕺💃🕺

2) Besides getting to know you both through messages and meetings, I absolutely LOVE when I sit down to read all the answers you've written on your questionnaires. Oh they take me on such a journey! I'm bursting out laughing one minute, and then the next, literally crying at all the beautifully thoughtful things you both do for each other! That's when I really get excited to start writing your ceremony😍

3) The bit when I get whatsapp saying you love what I've written🎉🎉🎉 That's always such a relief because I can't tell you how nervous I get when I press send to wizz the the draft copy over🙈😝

4) The big day!!! Nothing beats this!! 

✨️Popping to see you both before the ceremony to check that you're as excited as me for what is about to happen!!! 

✨️Those gorgeous little moments during the ceremony that I talked about in yesterday's post.

✨️Watching the love and emotion flowing between you, as well as all of your guests that are totally caught up in the feeling too.

✨️The stolen glances, the raucous laughter, and the contagious euphoria as everyone claps and cheers at the end of the ceremony and the beginning of you new life together! You'll always find me well out shot whooping and cheering along with everyone else!!!

5) This is a very special one... The notification that comes from Google to say someone has taken the time to leave me a review. Wow! Grateful doesn't even cut it🤗 So a huge THANK YOU to every couple or family that has done that for me. I appreciate you massively 🧡✨️🧡✨️🧡
That's just 5 things, but honestly I could go on and on!! I think you get the picture that I bloody love my job!!!!

Day 2 Reasons To Book a Celebrant for your ceremony or commemoration.

Well I'm going to do this backwards! Reasons NOT to book a celebrant

1) You really dont think the ceremony is a very important part of your day, and you don't care if you have the same script as everyone else!!!

2) Er, that's it really!!!

If number 1 DOESN'T apply, then BOOK A CELEBRANT!!! Simple as that! Just like Teasha & Hugo did for their beautiful wedding in June🤗

Making that genuine connection means that we can have these lovely little moments during your ceremony just like we did in theirs. And knowing that your ceremony is going to be completely different from everyone else's because it's totally about your fabulous love story, makes it even more special. So go and find a celebrant that suits your vision for your wedding day dream, and give them a call!!🧡✨️🧡✨️🧡

✨️Woohoo it's World Celebrants Week!!! Time to celebrate all things celebrant!!  So here we are Day 1! Introduce Yourself! ✨️

Hello hello hello!! I'm Tracy, someone who writes for a living but is really crap at writing and posting regularly on social media!! 🙈😜 I know that doesn't make sense but honestly I can sit for hours wondering what to post and instead end up scrolling through every cute animal and bird account there possibly is instead!! .boy.ollie is my favourite in case you're wondering! I'm so much more focused when I sit down to write a ceremony because I absolutely LOVE doing that!!

I've been an independent celebrant for 4 years although I only did my first in person ceremony 3 years ago because of you know what! I say "in person" because my first actual ceremony was conducted over zoom in my living room!! (See the last pic) but it was still so beautiful 🩷

So what's changed in my life since posting for World Celebrants Week this time last year???...

If you hadn't already gathered, I'm not a serious person. I love to have fun! That doesn't mean that I don't take your ceremonies seriously because I absolutely do!! But if you're looking for a formal celebrant, that's definitely NOT me!!

I love to make people smile, and I usually attract the kind of couples that want a more relaxed ceremony with some humour in it to go alongside all the meaningful moments too. That's the kind of wedding that is right up my street. I was going to say that, if it's up yours, then get in touch, but that doesn't sound quite right! (or is that just my daft humour again🤣🤣🤣)

And if you didn't already know, this is my other job teaching fitness and zumba gold classes for the over 55's. An age that when I first started teaching 20 years ago seemed a lifetime away...now it's only next year!!! 😝 Go out and seize the day everyone, time flies!!!

One more Halloween themed class to go tomorrow then I'll be totally halloween'd out!!!🎃🦇💀🧙‍♀️🧹🧛‍♂️😈

✨️What value do you give your wedding ceremony?✨️

I often hear that we'd love to have a more personal ceremony but celebrants are just too expensive!

I get that! It does seem a chunk of your budget when you hear the price, but it all comes down to that question above⏫️ What does your actual ceremony mean to you??? Is it just something you have to do before you get to the party part of your day? (A celebrant ceremony can also be a party you know!) Or is it something that truly means a lot to you both, because it's the chance to revel in everything that has led you to your fabulous wedding day. Your whole love journey!

It's the moment you say "I Do" to sharing your lives together. To working through the tough bumps that may appear in your road together and to celebrating ferociously any win, no matter how small, together.

It's the moment you leap forward together (literally if you want to jump the broom!) into your sparkly future that is yours to write. And it's the time to share all of that with everyone who means the most to you in the world in the most un boring and totally personal way!!! 🥳

So yes, we may seem expensive when you make that initial enquiry. But do our ceremonies leave more of an impact on you and all of your guests than a sweet trolley and other little things that all put together may add up to a similar cost??? ....That's something only you can decide, because after all we all put value on different things don't we.

Give someone £200 and the first thing they might do is go buy a designer bag or shoes because that's their joy. Give it to me, however, and it would go towards West End show tickets, a weekend away, a night out with family and friends. It's all about making memories in my case. That's my value and joy. What's yours??

Portugal, you were amazing! Lots of time with family, a few cocktails along the way, 1 beautiful wedding, 1 elopement in an ancient Algarvian ruin, and 1 vow renewal after ten years together in exactly the same spot my couple said "I Do" back in 2014. What a perfect way to finish my wedding season. I am such a lucky celebrant!!🧡✨️🧡✨️🧡

Still my only wedding that has had a doggy and surprise group singing...not just once, but three time during the ceremony!!! It was awesome!!!

When I say no two ceremonies are the same, I really do mean it. That's what choosing an independent celebrant is all about. That old cliché saying of "your day your way" is exactly what you get that just can't be matched by any local council "celebrants"! (Even if they tell you they can!!)

Welcome to Mr & Mrs Pearfest!!! Aka The Pearsons!!! Well, they wanted a festival vibe and that is exactly what they got! Or should I actually say "made" because Becca the bride made every single decoration herself!!! New business venture or what!!! (And in my two favourites colours too!) I absolutely loved the vinyl arch and table settings, you talented lady!!✨️✨️✨️

To match their vibe, the ceremony was a full on party celebration of their love story complete with a group shot at the end which I thought Jonjo was going to throw straight back up again over the balcony!! Well, his and Becca's were a little different from the rest of their guests. They were a ridiculously high proof JD brought back from the Blue Ridge Mountains... the place Jonjo proposed to Becca🧡

It was a corker, complete with heckling, which is always fun and spur of the moment, but I love it! And in true festival style, it chucked it down!!! What more could you ask for!!! Oh, a cocktail stirrer with a pic of Boothy the bull dog on so he could be part of the big day too whilst being safely tucked up at home away from all the excitement!!

I honestly can't wait to share some of the professional pics with you! They are absolute classics!!!

No generic turns and sways here... they wanted to go for it!!! Oh and they picked their music too!! Don't be fooled by the slow start!!

This time last year it was 16° warmer than today when Terry & Kelly had the most amazing love fest!!

As you can see, there was lots of laughter alongside some really touching moments, especially when surprise St. Christopher's were given to the children. Not a dry eye in the house🥹

Oh how I wish we could turn back the clocks and do it all again!!

These amazing photos taken by really do take you on a journey through Jade & Luigi's ceremony. The serious moments. The laughter during the telling of their love story. And the symbolism of blending their individual lights and souls together into a much brighter united one, with a beautiful candle ceremony ✨️🔥✨️

Thank you to @siobhan.baillie for raising this important question. After extensive work and consultation, the Law Commission submitted it final recommendations to the Government in July 2022. In this document, they propose moving to an ‘officiant-based scheme’, whereby the person conducting the wedding would be authorised, rather then the venue in which the wedding takes place. Within this new scheme, many other changes are proposed in order to make the marriage process fairer and simpler, as well as allowing couples more choice over the content, form and location of their ceremonies 🌿 The Government was due to issue an interim response to these proposals by January 2023, but we have still not had this. Sunday Happy Dance!!!! There's no better feeling for a celebrant than when that email lands saying a fabulous couple want to book you. So getting 2 within 12 hours is the best Christmas present! I am so far behind on posting about my amazing weddings this year! So let's have a little look back to this stunner full of colour in August!! Anna & Ben threw out all the rule books with their wedding, and chilled with their guests with a small tipple of home brew beforehand, because they didn't want to miss one minute of their day. It was brilliant! When it was time to begin, they sauntered to the back and were preceded down the aisle by a torrent of bubbles blasting from guns making dinosaur roars by their little guests, which periodically were shot throughout the ceremony 😂🤩 They walked down together, (no giving away for Anna), and we had the most relaxed, funny, and captivating wedding complete with pom poms and bright ribbons streaming from the backs of all the chairs ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜 The dress code I was given was the brighter the better, and I think I nailed that😜 (I've had people singing Joseph & the technicolour dream coat to me when I've worn it before🤣 but it's still one of my favourites!!) The weather in a month of complete unpredictability, it was absolutely perfect and I had the best time! Check out the personalised neon that Ben had commissioned too. A mix of their names...Benanna!! Love love love it!! Kelly & Terry!!! Well what can I say about my gorgeous boho bride complete with flower crown (which I adore,) and my super cool groom, except what a day full of love and laughter, but boy was it hot!!! 30° to be precise, but never fear Kelly had the most colourful fans waiting on the chairs for every very grateful guest🤩 It was a super chilled wedding day from start to finish which is exactly how Kelly & Terry wanted it to be, and wow the emotions really flowed during the family handtying ceremony especially when surprise gifts were given to their children🤗 I'll never forget It. It was absolutely beautiful. Unique Wedding, Baby Naming, Vow Renawal & Funeral Ceremonies

Hi! I’m Tracy, born and raised in Hull, but a wild adventurer at heart, having traveled the world as a professional performer. The chances are that if you are on my page and now reading this, that you are a little like me, always on the lookout for something more meaningful and different.

You don’t want the same wedding as everyone else with a regimented ceremony. You want to celebrate your individuality as a couple, and want a personalised ceremony that is all about your unique love story but, is also inclusive of family and children too. You might love the idea of including a mini ceremony of handfasting (tying the knot) sand blending, crystals, smudging, unity candles or jumping the broom!! Get everyone involved in the decorating of the broom, then on the big day, hitch up your dress or trouser legs and jump over it, symbolising the leap from your past life as two single individuals, into your future as partners for life. (Great photo opportunity too!!)

For you, the ceremony is equally important as the party afterwards, (although who doesn’t love a good party!!) No matter how big your wedding, you still want an intimacy, that can only be given by someone who has really got to know you both through the writing of your ceremony, not just someone who turns up and meets you on the day!

Want your wedding outdoors or at an unlicensed venue? No problem! Because you take care of the legal admin separately, you have no rules and restrictions for the big day.
