We’re diving into the Ocean tomorrow morning for an under the sea themed Make Believe session!

🎨🖌 Reminder that 'ROSE'S MAKE BELIEVE' is tomorrow (WEDNESDAY) at 10am...

During Make Believe sessions we will use our imaginations to explore the seasons. We will start by transporting ourselves into a whole new world with some fairy tale storytelling, we’ll get creative with a crafty activity, enjoy playing some silly games together and even have time for a quick biscuit break between adventures.

We heard the well loved story of the 3 little pigs this week! Then we set about building our own houses, making blanket forts and painting bricks with sponges! 🙂

We listened to an Anansi Story today about how the little Spider managed to outsmart Snake!
We made our own snakes, did some slithery dancing, sorted out snake’s favourite foods, worked out how long we’d be if we were a snake, made lots of long slithery snake domino walls, pretended to be tiny mouse to hide from the Rattle Snake and EVEN slithered through hoops ourselves! What a busy busy morning!

We heard a story about an industrious Tailer who made a beautiful story out of a piece of material this week!

We transformed socks into puppets, matched and hung the rest of the socks up, dressed up some paper dolls, played some very silly hat games as well as singing a good old fashioned Heads, Shoulders, Knees and Toes!

Next week is half term in Peterborough so if there are any slightly older Siblings who want to come along for our MAKE BELIEVE session too then feel free!

Last week we heard a Native American story about how fire was given to humans by coyote, and then we used some chalk pastels to create our own fires, saved some animals as fire fighters, played silly games like the floor is lava, and did some fire dancing!
This week… who knows!

This week we heard a silly story about Anansi the Spider and his tricky dinner parties with his friend Turtle… then we made our own sweet treats, had a tea party under the water, jumped about like a jumping bean and sorted all our party food into colours…

Last week we had a very cosy start to the year with a sleepy bunny story. We made our own cosy bunnies and played lots of soft fluffy games!

We’re keeping it cosy next week too! Come and join us!

We were so busy today! We Danced like a snow flurry, made our own rainbow snowflakes, got caught in a snowball snowstorm, decorated our floor tree, enjoyed a winter wonderland sensory tray, raced some reindeer and even made our own gingerbread shapes 🙂

Thanks to all you Rockin’ Rockstars who joined us for this mornings MAKE Believe session!

We made a lot of noise today 🙂 we drummed (on everything!) we sang we danced we made a guitar and a CD hanger… it was awesome.

I didn’t take many pictures so if anyone has any to share I’d love to see them 🙂

WHAT'S ON THIS WEEK... 'ROSES MAKE BELIEVE: FIREWORKS & SPARKLES'

During Make Believe sessions we will use our imaginations to explore a different theme each time we meet. We will start by transporting ourselves into a whole new world with some fairy tale storytelling, we’ll get creative with a crafty activity, enjoy playing some silly games together and even have time for a quick biscuit break between adventures.

If you’re bringing a messy artist then don’t forget to bring an apron or spare clothes that you don’t mind getting glue or felt tip pen on!

For ages 0-4 and their grown-ups.

We had a Spooky session this week! We clothed a poor chilly skeleton, created some colourful spider webs, saved some woodland creatures from ogres (but only after making ogre soup first!) and danced like a monster 🙂

It’s MAD SCIENTIST week for MAKE Believe at the Key theatre! On Wednesday from 10-11.30am we’ll be doing experiments and asking questions and generally causing trouble! No different to usual then… 😉
