Leap into Love 💕 Did you know that this year is a leap year? This has led to lots of lovely traditions and customs...

In Chinese astrology getting married in a leap year brings good luck.

Back in the 5th century the Irish custom of 'Ladies Privilege' was born. The Saint Brigid of Kildare made an agreement with Saint Patrick that women could propose every four years.

German custom is during a leap year on the eve of the 1st May, women decorate a birch tree with ribbons and place it in front of their loved ones home. Outside of the leap year this custom is carried out by men.

Photographers have told me that guests have "belly laughed" their way through their Wedition! You can include the finer details in your Wedition, those details you have spent months planning but the guests perhaps might not notice unless they are pointed out. Perhaps the ring attached to the bouquet was your Grandmothers, perhaps the date of your wedding is the date you shared your first kiss, perhaps the eggs used in your wedding cake were laid by your own hens. Whichever details you choose, why not showcase them all within your own Wedition?

We can invite your wedding party to share a story or funny memory from your friendship. I’ve even done a wedding party baby photo guess who game before! Introducing your wedding party to your guests in this manner gives them the confidence to say hello and strike up a conversation with this special person who they may have not met before.

Including fun pages inside your Wedition is a great way to keep little ones entertained during speeches or to give guests sharing a table together and who are meeting for the first time a great conversation starter. We can include a whole host of features for you from wedding speech bingo, colouring and camera eye spy to your own wedding crossword (all Q&A’s related to you of course!), word search or table quiz. We can include any quizzes that you played on your hen/stag do’s or perhaps a table quiz or scavenger hunt for each table to complete.

3. A beautiful way to remember your loved ones with Wedition

Your wedding day is a time of much joy and happiness, it will also be a time to reflect on your journey up until this moment and and mark the beginning of your future together. It is also a time to remember loved ones. Loved ones who have passed can be remembered in one of the speeches or you may light a candle next to a photograph. Sadly not all guests you have invited can make it. Perhaps you have an elderly relative too frail to travel, maybe you have some friends overseas who simple can't get the time off work to be at your wedding. What a wonderful thing when they receive Wedition in the post the same day as your wedding! There is no need for them to be left out, they will feel part of your day. Each time you receive a Wedition proof, it all come in a beautiful presentation box, you can keep hold of these boxes and use them to post the finished copy to guests who cannot make your wedding day.

5. Wedition is about including what’s important to you

Each Wedition is unique to the couple in question which means it is up to you what you choose to include inside. Perhaps there are so many elements to your day that will have significant meaning to you but how can you be sure your guests will notice them? You can involve your pet in your wedding day by including a message or funny article written by them, photos and fun facts. They can be very much involved in your day, all the while they are calm and relaxed at home!
