Throwback to last Saturday when pupils from the Lonach Society School of Dance took part in the Braemar Junior Highland Games.

The day was a huge success with many medals received - well done girls! 🏆🎖

Camping will open for PRIORITY booking this Saturday 6th July at 12pm.

If you are in the priority group (Lonach members, judges, workers and Lonach pipe band) you will receive an email this evening with further information.

Booking for the public will open on the 31st July at 12pm.

After the success of last years' ceilidh we are please to announce Hooley are back!

Tickets will soon be available for the ceilidh on the night of Lonach.

This takes place at Lonach Hall from 8 to late.

Dr Jack Taylor presents Piobaireachd winner Andrew Donlon with his medal and prize money at Lonach 2023.

We are very excited for this year's competition and to discover who will be the winner of the Charles Morrison Medal.

The cash prizes for the top-three finishers in the Piobaireachd competition are : 1st: £500, 2nd: £300, and 3rd £200, and the contest will be open to any piper older than 18, with no grading requirement from the Competing Pipers Association.

Competitors are required to prepare 3 tunes for the competition.

Did you know that the March of the Lonach Highlanders takes place each year on Lonach day and consists of approximately 200 men?

The Highlanders leave at 8am joined by the Lonach Pipe Band on their march and return to the games arena at 1pm.

It is a sight you do not want to miss!

Congratulations to some of the older dancers in the Lonach School of Dance who have been awarded their Bronze iVolunteer awards by Aberdeenshire Voluntary Action.

This has involved them spending 10 hours buddying younger dancers in the school over the last few months. The buddies have been a fantastic addition and provide lots of support and help at classes, while at the same time developing lots of great social skills.

The buddy role has helped them become more confident, developed their communication and team work skills, as well as improving their own dancing at the same time. Well done to them all. 🌟🌟🌟👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

The Lonach Society are raising funds to help with the running of the Silver Circle, a local lifeline in the community.

We are looking to raise a total of £5000 (the society have already contributed £2000) to donate and are so close to reaching our target! 🤩

It was an honour to be invited to the opening of the Gairnshiel Jubilee Bridge earlier today with His Majesty the King.

Lonach highlander Jonny Hardie wrote a piece especially for the opening titled ‘The Lonach Highlanders’ Welcome to the Gairnshiel Jubilee Bridge’ which was performed on the day by the Lonach Pipe Band.
