Established in 2001, Blu Ice Roadshow (Blu Ice) started as a family mobile DJ company and has been delivering professional audio and entertainment ever since. Originally, a father and son duo, Blu Ice has now progressed into a partnership with Josh and Dan. Josh and Dan became friends outside of the DJ industry and have been close friends ever since.
April 2018 marked a big change in the history of Blu Ice. Phil decided to step down and handed the business over to Josh. Since then, Josh and Dan have both been very busy, helping to grow the business. With a new logo and fresh website, the work was not over. Josh and Dan have designed and created all the promotional items that they hand out, and always working hard between events. Josh and Dan keep active and update social media sites, maintain the website and not forgetting editing any photos and videos. If that is not enough for a two-man team, they firmly believe in giving that excellent service and always look at ways to enhance their services. From investing in powerful professional PA system with high quality professional microphones and mixing hardware, to providing extra services such as the 4ft Letters, special effects and even the upcoming Dancefloor.
Josh gained his music knowledge from working alongside his Dad and knows those well known, 60’s, 70’s and 80’s songs all too well.
Dan’s passion for DJ’ing started out in his bedroom compiling his own mixes. Dan loves his Garage and has previously worked in clubs in the Sudbury area, mixing garage to the early hours.
Josh and Dan both love up to date music and all those chart hits. They both enjoy listening to Old Skool RnB classics, Modern Chart Hits, Rock and Dance music, but also other past time classics, such as Bryan Adams – Summer of 69 and not forgetting Bon Jovi- Living on a Prayer.
Josh and Dan are not just DJ’s. Josh has worked for many years in the ambulance service and now a fully qualified Paramedic, so you are in safe hands at your event! Dan has a completely different job and works in IT. With Dan’s IT knowledge and skills, he ensures all our equipment is fully functioning, up to date and to the highest performance, so they can deliver an outstanding performance!
Using state of the art DJ software, equipment and lighting systems, Blu Ice Roadshow caters for any event. Blu Ice Roadshow guarantees a professional and reliable service, and aims to exceed all expectations! With over 35,000 songs at their disposal, and ever growing library, they have music from nearly every genre; Soul, Motown, Reggae, Hip Hop, Indie and those well-known cheesy tracks, just to name a few.
Blu Ice Roadshow do not use pre-prepared playlists or have set lists, the music they play is gauged by what you and your guests want to hear. They are more than happy to take requests from your guest on the night and ask you to send some of your favourite requests prior to the night. This helps to give them an insight of what you like to hear.
They, purchase any specially requested tracks at no expenses to their clients, as they believe it all forms part of the service.
