It was back to burlesque business for us last night, running audio and lighting for Burlesque With Paris. It’s always nice to get a thank you at the end, but from the auditorium noone can really see us. So, here’s tech world (theatre provided PA/desk, our Sennheiser radio mics and ChamSys PC wing).
It’s a nice space to work 👍

We can also provide more extensive setups, including PA and starcloths. We helped the client’s dj wire his equipment into our Martin Audio and Ohm system (venue-provided table and cloth).

We got a call yesterday morning, asking if we could hire some disco lights to a venue - and we were able to say yes 💪 they also asked for a mic, so given the context we added one of our Sennheiser conference friendly kits to the job (we don’t believe in using budget ones).

A few hours later, there they were - the client even greeted us with a hug, as they’d been let down by another supplier!
Always nice to get a thank you after, and to hear the night went well 😁
(The light stand was wound down as shown for testing, then placed by the client accordingly once the function room was cleared for their event)

The weekend has started! First of 2 setups today, for a corporate event. The client wanted pink, we gave them pink!

Yesterday was a double wedding whammy 💕 celebrating with couples and their guests at Social and Hull Humber View Hotel. We also supplied a Sennheiser radio microphone for speeches for the latter, which the bride afterwards commented gave a very clear sound (not a surprise given the equipment we use is built to run big events reliably - and a wedding is certainly that!). We were also complimented for delivering the music policy requested in advance on both events. Congratulations to both couples 🎉 and get in touch to see how we can make your night one to remember!

We can’t find their page to tag them, but one of our favourite eateries (once the gig is all set up) is the original Pasco’s Italian in Cottingham. Pizza Formoso (smokey cheese, peppers and red onion) and the Milky Way cheesecake highly recommended 😋 this has fuelled several of our jobs in the last couple of months for I.T.S.L. Sound & Light at Cottingham Civic Hall

The weekend of 1st-3rd August was varied:

Friday/Saturday - sound control setup and engineering for The Street Party @ The Old School House and Court Yard

Saturday - DJing the wedding of Sophie & Jon @ Barmbyfield Barns

Saturday - our monthly residency @ Hop Pole Willerby

Sunday - sound and lighting for Craft Union Pub Company ’s Talent Competition (Divisional Final) @ The Punch Bowl, York.
We have since found out the winner on that night, Evie (who was brilliant) won the national final. Well done Evie!

We were happy to provide audio services, with speakers along the event area for commentary and music - for their annual open day. It’s not often you see all the emergency services in one place, when there isn’t a major incident in progress!

Before we get into this coming weekend (multiple events at multiple venues), let’s celebrate Aimee & James’ wedding reception from Saturday at Hull Humber View Hotel. A great night, and feedback! Did you know we work with venues own equipment, as well as ours? Yesterday we spent a few hours programming scenes for an end of year show on the house desk - back to tidy a couple of bits in a few weeks, and advise how they can optimise their rig
