I know, we haven't "done" Christmas yet but a bit of advance publicity might not go amiss. Two concerts feature in February and March next year called Organ Plus both with Gerrard Brooks at the organ. Joining him in the first concert on Saturday 3rd February 2024 will be Patsy Gamble playing saxophone with works by composers such as John Williams, Morricone and Giazotto. On Saturday 2nd March Gerrard will be joined by Richard Deacon, trumpet, and there will be music by Charpentier, Bach, Purcell and Wesley.
Both concerts start at 6pm and last for about 75 minutes. A bar is available before and after the concert.
Tickets are £15 but students are free.

We hope to see lots of people for this programme. It should be a good evening! Booking details at the foot of the flyer

After a long gap because of the pandemic the Organ Trust is pleased to announce that an organ recital will take place at St Dunstan's Church on Saturday 25th February. It will be given by Jack Gonzalez- Harding, Director of Music at the church. Further details are attached. There will be a bar (alcoholic as well as musical!).

Jack Gonzalez-Harding
Fantasia in C Minor BWV 562, J.S. Bach
Improvisations on the Stations of the Cross
Praised for his “brilliant infectious enthusiasm” by The Spectator, young conductor and keyboardist Jack Gonzalez-Harding is forging a career as one of the “leading lights” of his generation.
Recent and upcoming highlights include Jack’s debut guest conducting engagements with the London Mozart Players and Hallé Orchestra, alongside debuts at the Wigmore Hall, Southbank Centre, Barbican, and St. John’s Smith Square for Bach’s B Minor Mass.
Already, Jack has established collaborative relationships with leading internationally acclaimed artists such as Dame Emma Kirkby, Nicholas Daniel, Mary Bevan, Fenella Humphreys, Zoë Martlew and Sir Mark Elder, for whom Jack has assisted.
Born in 2003 in Kent, England, Jack initially trained as an exhibitioner of organ at the Royal Academy of Music before beginning studies in harpsichord and improvisation with David Gordon at the Purcell School.
Currently at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Jack is a mentee of the Head of Music alongside his harpsichord studies in Paris with Pierre Hantaï.
As of September 2023, Jack will continue his studies as a
conductor on the Artist Masters programme at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

METROPOLIS mother of sci-fi cinema films
Great concert last night with the famous silent movie backed by live improvised organ played by Darius Battiwalla, Leeds City Organist. Tour de force, stamina in abundance.
Well attended. Thank you all.....
