Mandolin Express I am a renowned blues, choro and jazz mandolin player and started playing mandolin in the seventies.

Mandolin Express is a website for players and enthusiasts of the Mandonlin; here you will be able to share information, download tutorials and music, book lessons and make contacts in the Mandolin community and a whole lot more. Initially influenced by blues, ragtime and jug-band music, I added folk and Italian romantic music to my repertoire before venturing into the classical arena with the Beet

hoven Sonatas at Ashton Court Festival in 2002. I have played with the likes of blues men Eddie Martin and Dave Peabody and I am regular member of the duo SMILE with Jim Reynolds. Always eager to raise the profile of the mandolin in Britain, I am an active member with the BMG Federation, an organisation dedicated to encouraging young musicians to take up the mandolin. I run workshops at Festivals, at the BMG Rally and in my home town of Bristol, I am also a regular tutor at the Sore Fingers and BMG Summer Schools.
