My last wedding was dressed for two ceremonies. Yep, you read correctly - two!
The weather in dear old Blighty has been nothing short of temperamental all year and we don’t seem to have the foggiest what it’s going to grace us with from one hour to the next.
This provides planners and suppliers with some added pressure on the day. But hey, that’s what we’re there for - to make stuff happen. This wedding was no exception.
My lovely couple had their heart set on an outdoor ceremony with the majestic Italianesque trees in the guests eye line. However, the weather was being very British with rain showers and menacing clouds covering the skyline all morning. As an English countryside wedding planner you have to have a plan B. Ours was to use the stunning drawing room at . Rachel and her team at adorned the fireplace with a stunning floral elegance. It took my breath away and resembled a scene from one of Queen Charlotte’s regency balls in Bridgerton.
We made the call only 30 minutes from the 2pm ceremony time and moved the display and chairs to outside. I cannot tell you how incredible everyone on the team was. We went into fully focused mode. I was so excited that my couple were going to get what they wanted all along.
It started to rain as the string quartet played the processional, for a moment I thought it we’d have to abort but by some kind of miracle the shower stopped, the sun arrived and the bride walked down the aisle beaming to her man. Perfection!
Having a wedding planner there for you at every twist and turn of planning and on the day just provides you with so much reassurance. Things happen that are out of control but it’s how it’s dealt with that counts. I couldn’t be happier for L&M and I’m so grateful to for content creating with her beautiful images on the day.
If you’re engaged and looking to get married in the South West of England. I’d dearly love to hear from you.
