A couple of weeks ago we were inspecting the 70m chimney at lovely Salts Mill, a former textile mill, in Saltaire, West Yorkshire, and took the opportunity to create these black and white photos.
P.S. For those who don't know, it now houses an art gallery, some shops and restaurants, and is definitely worth a visit.

Historic market town of Howden with its Minster at the centre. In the background at the top you can see a wide meander in the River Ouse as it turns towards Goole, five miles after which it joins the River Trent to form the River Humber before heading out to sea. It's also the route, in reverse, the Vikings took when they first invaded York (Eoforwick).
