KLH EVENTS

KLH EVENTS An Events company with a difference! KLH Events is run by two local crafters wanting to put something back in to their local community.
(11)

Our aim is to promote our town, and encourage local crafters, small businesses and charities to join us in doing so. Where ever possible we will be using public buildings and spaces run by Charitable Organisations. We will never wittingly duplicate a craft or range at an event and aim to provide a free stall to a charity, at each event.

UPDATE: Unfortunately I still haven’t been able to reach out to the lady who asked me to put a plant in this lovely little pot she had. I know she lives within the 5Towns area so if any local followers could share this post for me that would be appreciated. I’m sure she will get in touch soon but I’m feeling awful about not been able to get in touch with her. Thank you 🤞😊🌵

Good morning. A lovely lady asked me if I would pot a plant in this lovely pot for her which as you can see, I have done. However …… I can’t find the original message I was sent with the photo of the pot so I don’t know how to get on touch other than via Facebook! So if you’re out there, can you please resend the photo you sent me and we can organise delivery for you. Thank you 😊🌵

What in incredible weekend of events we had in celebration of our black stuff!
Liquorice Shoots on Saturday and then the annual Liquorice Festival in the town on Sunday!

MASSIVE thanks to everyone who paid us a visit! We had well over 3000 visitors in the town hall (on our clicker we only tally adults, but know how persuasive children can be in influencing their adults purchases 😜)

And OMG how fantastic was our “celebrity” visitor Lucy Liquorice!

We do try to regulate the number of visitors in the building at any one time, and I did try to keep a balance of visitors throughout the day, by guiding visitors to start in the quieter of the two rooms, but many were too eager to get in, to listen. The gasps of wonder and awe though, when people were coming in and seeing what you all had to offer was fabulous for me to hear, and the best I can do is to pass on the excitement of the visitors coming in through the doors. There were also some very complimentary comments on the landing from excited and happy customers too! So for those of you who said it was too busy for people to see the stalls, we apologise.

We also need to thank our volunteers for the day Becci Aldridge and Jacob Hartley. And our drop off “traffic marshall” Neil, who donned a pink tee shirt and hi vis and commandeered the ping pong paddles to get our stallholders through the market place!

Finally a very grateful round of applause to everyone who donated to the Town Hall defibrillator fund, we’re incredibly proud to announce that our bucket raised £160!

Now starts the planning for 2025!

(PS apologies for not posting straight after the event, it’s fair to say we were shattered!)

Well what an incredible day!
Pontefract Civic Society once again brought us an incredible opportunity to join them in another collaborative town centre community day and we can’t thank them enough for their trust in us to bring you the Liquorice Shoots.
Karen and I also wish to thank each and every one of our fantastic stallholder who also put their trust in us, and we’re always thrilled to hear how well that trust has paid off and that they’ve had amazing days of trading!
Finally THANK YOU to you the people of Pontefract, and beyond who came out to enjoy the day with us, the character parade, the music on stage, the dancers, the dog show, the legendary John Turner standing in as compère (👏🏼), and HUUUUGE thanks to the Star Wars crew who entertained us all!

The Pink Ladies return to Pontefract Town Hall tomorrow with our Craft and Gift Fair, while the annual Liquorice Festival takes place in the town.

Keep your eyes peeled for Shoots ‘25 date!
