An organisation devoted to encouraging responsible exotic pet ownership and We bring unique and memorable animal experiences to your door.
(13)

Darwin's Kingdom is an organsation ran by people who are passionate about exotic animals and their welfare and conservation. We specialise in education through positive and entertaining means to help engage people and share our passion of animals great and small. Reptiles and other exotic animals are now a commonly kept pet in the UK and it is important to make sure their welfare is a top priority

as it is with animals such as dogs and cats. Through our work with the public we can ensure that people are aware of the responsiblities that come with owning exotic animals and how to keep them correctly. Other topics that are close to our heart include conservation of all species, protection and restoration of the planet's environment, and the implications of the exotic pet trade. For more information on our work in these areas please feel free to contact us or visit our website. One of the most popular ways that we work with the public is through our events. We cater for every need, from birthday parties (both children's and adults') to corporate team building events and more. Are you unsure about getting up close and personal with our animals? We can help you conquer your fears in our fear workshops. How about wanting a school lesson with a difference? We offer school packages tailored to whichever subject your students are learning about. We even offer face to face practical advice on having an animal as a pet and help you decide what is right for you and how to set up the correct environment. Everything we do is flexible for you, ensuring you get the most out of your time with us and ensuring you won't be left disappointed. All of our experiences involve real and absolutely amazing animals of all shapes and sizes, including reptiles, amphibians, and invertebrates. As well as being able to handle many of our animals you also have the opportunity to learn about them from our knowledgeable staff. For more information on our wide range of services please view our website. If you have any questions, comments, queries, concerns, or even just general wonderments, please do not hesitate to contact us. All our staff are fully trained and we have full cover public liability insurance. Our animal family is expanding all the time. Like our page for updates on all of our animals and of course lots of photos!

How cool is this?!

This is a 3D printed boa constrictor skull made by the talented Chapelprintsco.

We'll be using this skull as an educational tool and visual aid when talking about snakes and their biology and hunting techniques.

For those of you who have met Hector, our real life boa constrictor, here's a good look and what is behind that cute little face of his!

Hector has had a busy week so far! We've been visiting a few different schools, meeting students and teaching them all about our awesome animals.

It's been great fun and we think Hector is ready for a well deserved nap now.

Meet Hector, the newest member of our animal family!

Hector is a boa constrictor (possibly a cross between a common boa and a red-tailed boa) and we adopted him through the National Centre for Reptile Welfare.

Choosing to adopt a snake like Hector was a big decision (no pun intended!), as this is the largest snake we have worked with.

When working with snakes such a Hector, we need to ensure that our team is always in control. As docile as some larger snakes can be, we always need to think of the worst case scenarios and how we would be able to react.

Hector is the perfect size for us, because although he is quite large he is still handleable and we can move and guide him as needed.

We highly doubt we will ever have any snakes larger than Hector, and that's ok because we feel happy and comfortable with him and we hope our clients will to!

Meet Zuko, our new juvenile ambilobe panther chameleon.

When his colours fully develop he will be a fantastic combination of reds and greens. We can't wait to see how awesome he's going to look!

We've welcomed a new addition to our family today, but can you guess what species of reptile it is?

Let us know in the comments what you think and we'll reveal the secret tomorrow.

(P.S. Feel free to let us know what other animals you'd like to see us work with. Who knows what will happen in the future...!)
