📉 While the general consensus in the wedding industry is that this year is a strange one in terms of new enquiries and the number of weddings and events taking place, I have some incredible weddings lined up. However, it is quieter for me compared to the last few years – perhaps we’ve been thoroughly spoilt recently!

🔍 My advice? Take a step back, evaluate, and realign your business. Focus on where you want to be and determine what steps you need to take to get there. Over the past few months, I've done just that and finally found the time to work on projects I've long wanted to pursue.

✨ I have a very big project that I’ve started and am thrilled to hopefully share with you all by the end of the year – I am SO excited for this!

🤝 Additionally, I'm collaborating with a number of industry professionals this year on bespoke mentoring and my business booster sessions, which have been incredibly rewarding for me. Doing what I love has never felt so fulfilling!

BUILDING STRONG RELATIONSHIPS WITH LUXURY PLANNERS // A Guide for Vendors and Suppliers

Are you a vendor or supplier looking to work with luxury wedding planners? Here are some key tips to help you build meaningful connections and successful partnerships:

Do Your Homework: Take the time to research planners and determine if your brand and work align with theirs. Check out their social media and website to ensure your style complements their level of service.

Find the Right Fit: Reach out to planners whose style and level of work match yours. Sending generic requests without research often leads to rejection. Tailor your approach to show you’ve done your homework.

Get to Know Your Planner: Just as you build relationships with couples, get to know the planners you work with. Learn about their process and see if there's anything you can do to support their business. Understanding their current vendor relationships can provide valuable insights.

Understand Referral and Commission Fees: Know the planner’s policy on commission. Some planners accept commissions, while others, like myself, do not. Offering a commission without knowing the planner’s stance can hurt your chances of collaboration.

Communicate Effectively: Keep communication lines open with planners. Whether you're dealing directly with the couple or not, always copy the planner on important communications like invoices and contracts. Teamwork and transparency are essential.

Personalise Your Outreach: When reaching out to planners, ensure you address them correctly. Misspelling names or using generic salutations like "To Whom it May Concern" shows a lack of attention to detail and respect.

Engage Genuinely: Build real, genuine relationships with planners and likeminded suppliers. Share interesting details about yourself, like your love for sausage dogs or your favorite cocktails. Authentic connections can add significant value to the planner’s business.

Building strong relationships with luxury wedding planners requires effort, respect, and genuine engagement. By following these tips, you can create lasting partnerships that lead to fabulous, unforgettable events.

I had the pleasure of being invited to Bubble Food HQ this week for a lunch experience. I arrived to champagne and cocktails on the terrace with some delicious and creative canapés. The sun was shining and it was a perfect, intimate setting to get to know the team.

We had music from The Velvet Notes and the gorgeous new bar and furniture from House of Furn.

After the champagne and cocktail reception we were then treated to an incredible 5 course lunch and it was fabulous! It was such a great experience to taste the different dishes that were creative in all their own ways and paired with some great wines. The table looked amazing with linen from Table Alchemy, Tableware from The Social Kitchen (loved this!) and gorgeous blooms from Mary Jane Vaughan. Gorgeous personalised stationery from Ananya cards

To end the afternoon, we went back into the London sunshine to enjoy cocktails and smoked chocolate ci**rs - these were a treat!

REFLECTION // 2023, what a year! Whilst this week has been pretty grim as I have been hit by the lurgy so feeling rotten! It has given me some time to reflect on what a fabulous year it’s been for .co I would have to say the best year yet! In May, I celebrate 13 years of planning and producing events.

Today I share a picture from each wedding and event I have had the pleasure to work on. Each and every one has created absolutely heartfelt memories and I am so grateful to be such a small part of these occasions. Working with some of the best suppliers in the industry, curating, designing and producing extraordinary events.

Thank you to everyone that made this possible from my amazing couples, clients to the incredible suppliers. I have to pinch myself at times to say this is actually work! 2024….I am ready for you! 💫

AFTER PARTY // Often called the after party, farewell party or day 2 party. It’s a great way to have all your guests back at the family home following a marquee wedding to allow everyone to (nurse a hangover) but enjoy a more relaxed vibe.

GOOD MORNING // I’ve woken to a very grey, wet Thursday morning but I’m about to travel across to Somerset to see my parents before heading to the tomorrow.

Something I try to do often is remind myself of the whys to what I do. The feelings, emotions and relationships mean the world to me. I always feel so lost after a wedding celebration as I can honestly say, it’s never a chore, something to get through or just a ‘job’.

Reading through cards, letters and emails received always makes my heart full. Many of my weddings are at home weddings and I also work very closely with parents or other family members so reviewing emails like this is just so rewarding…
