This track has been at the Williams Racing HQ in Grove since November 2019 ➡️ eBay: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/335727494487 (Lap of the track: https://youtu.be/rFRuanq1vYc?si=ADELKppBBGacR6aD) It’s had many famous person race on it, including: • George Russell • Claire Williams • Nicolas Hamilton • Karun Chandhok • Billy Monger • Franco Colapinto • Jamie Chadwick The track is 15’(4.7m) wide x 12’ (3.6m) deep, with a cut out for a race director/marshal to stand. It took well over 1000 hours to make & comes in 4 large sections that bolts together. It’s a great mix of fast and twisty sections, a bridge and 2 tunnels. It’s Scalextric brand Digital with a working pit lane, and long 3 lane section We loosely based a few areas on real places: • The Carousel from the Nürburgring • The Circuit de Reims-Gueux pit lane • A Monaco inspired harbour area. There are loads of little scenes all over the track which make it come alive, including an under water viewing window to see under the harbour water, you can see who is trying to eat the scuba divers whilst they search for treasure. Many of the figures are famous people including Frank & Claire Williams, and lots of historic racing drivers like Nigel Mansell and Michael Schumacher, to name a few. The track has over 350 hand painted figures, lots of display cars, including lots of heritage F1 cars. We had two tracks at this year’s British F1 GP at Silverstone Circuit. One of the tracks was on the Bahrain International Circuit stand where they were promoting next years Bahrain GP. We were asked to replicate their track. 𝗢𝘂𝗿 ‘𝗭𝗢𝗠𝗕𝗜𝗘 𝗔𝗽𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹𝘆𝗽𝘀𝗲’ 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗸𝗲 𝗦𝗹𝗼𝘁 𝗖𝗮𝗿 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 We wanted to come up with a new ‘WOW!’ track that we could showcase at the UK Slot Car Festival. So we put our heads together and came up with many ideas (one of which could be next years track – watch this space), but we kept coming back to Doug’s idea of a Zombie inspired track.
