The Late Shows are nearly here! And we're very lucky to have the object project with us not only for the night, but for the whole week!

Our Gallery will be hosting an exhibition of their installations and sets from previous projects, and from Friday 17th audiences are invited into the space to catch the company's newest show The Ballad of the Underwater Daughter.

Set on a mechanical island inhabited entirely by Dads, a place bodged together out of mangled metal and broken dreams. Then one stormy night a tiny barnacle encrusted bottle floats into the harbour with a crumpled note inside which reads, “remember me?”

It’s murky, strange, bleakly hilarious and exquisitely rendered.

Join us in this messy universe of monstrously fishy metaphors, overloaded with random objects, abandoned puppets and discarded materials, and dive into the Object Project’s latest tale of the eternal complexities of existence.

Are you interested in directing comedy for TV or film? 🎬

We’re supporting the brilliant team at Comedy 5050 to bring you an exclusive event on the 20th of March at The Black Swan Bar & Venue in Newcastle!

‘Crossing over into Directing Comedy with Comedy 5050’ is the perfect event for early-career creatives with experience in directing across various platforms.

Comedy 5050 is an initiative to address gender imbalance in comedy. The programme that was started by supporting female and non-binary writers is now encouraging female and non-binary directors from any creative or corporate space, who are curious about directing scripted comedy TV, to come along to the event and find out more.
