~Wedding supplier shoutout~

It's been ages since I last posted one of these shots, but if you've followed my page for a while then you'll know that I like to share photo's of some of the other Wedding suppliers that I get to meet during a cake set up... more often than not it's usually the photographer as I always forget to take one of venue stylists or florists if they're still there doing their thing. I definitely need to fix that!

My final cake of 2024 was for the lovely Molly & Shane who were married at Manor House Lindley.

They chose a combination of one of my own designs and a couple of other 'on trend' cakes they'd found online, and it tied in absolutely perfectly with their room décor and the elegance of Manor House.
~ A square bottom tier with hand painted white pearl raw textured edges, upper tiers decorated with sugar pearls and finished with a large satin bow with trailing ribbon...

~When should you book your Wedding cake?

The simple answer is as soon as you have booked your Wedding date with your venue you should start securing your suppliers too.

Many of the most popular professional Wedding suppliers can book up pretty quickly, especially for those sought after Summer dates, some even being fully booked two to three years in advance so if you have any favourites that you really want to work with then it's highly recommended that couples make that initial enquiry as soon as possible. If your date is still available most will happily accept a booking payment to secure your date for you, leaving you plenty of time to finalise the details at a later date.

If you're still looking for your bespoke Wedding cake designer for 2025, 2026 or 2027 then please get in touch, even if you're not quite sure which style, design or colour scheme you want just yet. I offer professional design consultations at my studio around six months before the big day so that any details you've chosen by then can be incorporated into your cake design. You'll also get to take home a delicious cake flavour sample box too just to help you choose the best flavour/s for you and your guests.

I currently still have fairly good availability throughout most of next year but as January is usually the busiest month for Wedding enquiries many of those available dates may soon be gone.

Another busy month for birthday cakes, this one had hand piped royal icing pearls, hand painted details and finished with beautiful artificial florals.

~Wedding Showcase~

I've been a little quiet on social media lately due to cake orders, a fantastic weekend away at Cake International in Birmingham NEC and most recently an amazing and very busy Wedding Showcase at the stunning Manor House Lindley where I chatted to lots of couples about their upcoming weddings.

Whilst there I also took the opportunity to photograph one of my favourite designs in front of their beautiful stone effect wall.

If you're planning your 2025 or 2026 wedding and looking for a specialist Wedding cake designer then please get in touch soon to see if your date is still available. January is always the busiest month for enquiries as many couples wait till after Christmas and New Year to start booking their Wedding suppliers, but this can often mean that their date is already fully booked so enquiring early is highly recommended.

~North of England Wedding Awards~

Huge heartfelt thanks to all of my wonderful couples who took the time to vote.
Not only do I have a job that I absolutely love but I also get to work with the most amazing couples, venue's and wedding suppliers. It means the world that my passion for creating designs that take into account my couples own ideas of how their wedding cake should look is reflected in the wonderful feedback that they have given.

As always the competition is fierce again this year, and with a large number of talented cake makers in this category I definitely don't envy the judges job...

~Birthday Cakes~

Another week with a rare space available for a very special birthday cake, a classic clean design decorated with a selection of artificial flowers and foliage....

My Celebration and Birthday cakes are always made with the same high quality ingredients that I use for Wedding cakes, and this one was also covered with a layer of delicious white chocolate ganache (tinted with a specialty food colour for chocolate), and the cake board covered in marbled fondant to imitate the flower petals.

~2025 Weddings~

My diary for next year is really starting to fill up fast now with August already being fully booked (although I may be still be able to fit in a Wedding at the end of August if required).
If you're looking for a specialist Wedding cake maker who offers a fully comprehensive service that includes design consultations, flavour samples and professional delivery/set up at your chosen venue on the big day then get in touch to see if your date is still available.
I usually only work with one couple per week to ensure each design receives the love and attention it deserves for such a special occasion so available dates can fill up quite quickly.... I'm already receiving enquires for 2026 and 2027 Weddings so please don't leave it too late.

As I specialise in Weddings I don't often share photographs of the birthday cakes I occasionally make, but this one is so very 'on trend' with the many balloon arches I'm seeing at lots of venues lately that I couldn't resist.... this would totally translate into a Wedding cake design so watch this space!

Huge congratulations to Saturdays lovely couple who were married at Bagden Hall Hotel
Their Reception room was beautifully dressed and their Wedding Cake tied in perfectly... Appliqué flowers, hand painted details and lots of gorgeous silk florals supplied by the bride, all perfectly displayed on my largest double hoop stand.
