Ministry of Giggles Character entertainers for children's parties in London. Ages 0-7. Sillyness in a suitcase. My top hat is always off to Tommy Cooper, Ken Dodd and Steve Martin.

I set up The Ministry of Giggles after my daughter popped up to say waaaah. I have always loved working with magical beings (children) and have been an au-pair, child minder, and worked as an actor in schools delivering Theatre In Education shows for 15 years. I am a trained actor and also love comedians, the absurd and the silly stuff in life. I think life is too short not to celebrate! We should

set down our family history in our children's milestones before they pass by. And so we provide themed or unthemed entertainment at children's events involving:
Traditional games,
mysterious and hilarious magic,
beautiful bubbles,
crazy plate spinnning,
brilliant balloon modelling,
face painting,
puppets,
silly jokes,
storytelling
craft activities.

4-5 year olds tend to be the busiest age group in this regard, as children enter full time education and us parents find ourselves launching into a new world. But we do love making fun at 1 year birthday parties right the way up to 10 year olds, who have given us some or our most enjoyable parties. Not only kids parties:
Family & corporate fun days,
Spring and summer festivals, school fairs and street parties (our stilt walking is great for these events!)
School and nursery parties
Assemblies. I can do giant bubbles and nets of bubbles on stilts if that takes your fancy. It is great at a street party or outside fair. We now have:
A bouncy castle,
A popcorn and a candy floss machine for hire
& Mascots!

I’m pleased to see that even in 2024, at least one university student is wearing a coat like this. (I made something very similar when I was 16…it’s still at my dad’s.) The CND sign was about the size of a darts board on the back. One of my teachers, Mr Birkenhead said, “Are you trying to make a statement, Elaine.” Amusingly, I didn’t quite know what he meant!!!

Thank you for this video, , lovely families and BooBoo the chimp, from a few years ago now. I do apologise for my odd accent: I think I must have been attempting a pirate voice and it’s all gone a bit estuary along the way 🤪 Lamda, please don’t watch! I should video myself more often to check these things)

Thanks for having me again, Fayland Children’s Centre and for this lovely comment you emailed 🫠🫠

“Official:
Thank you so much for entertaining our families last week.

You are amazing!!!!

You did so well with the children moving from inside to outside and coping with the heat in the room and the loudness of the professionals.

The children were mesmerised as usual.

We are really lucky to have you.

Don’t forget to send in your invoice 😊

Kind regards,
Sasha Sagoe

We love Balham Nursery School. I hope this campaign helps resolve the issues raised. Well done to the parents for raising the concerns. Balham Newsie

"South London parents have raised concerns vulnerable children won't be safe if planned cuts at state nurseries go ahead. They warned children living in temporary accommodation and with complex needs will be hit hard if significant cuts to staffing at Balham and Eastwood nursery schools, funded by Wandsworth Council, go ahead."

Thanks for this, Greg Haiste 😍

The Muppet Show, like the Morecambe and Wise Show and Columbo, attracted really huge stars who were very honoured to be part of the spectacle, no matter how stratospheric their fame. It doesn’t get much more stratospheric than the triple threat, Gene Kelly, who appeared in almost 50 films but will...

I’m currently studying a Learning Support Assistant’s course about autism. It’s very interesting. Here’s some basic facts from The National Autism Society who want to help make society better and easier for autistic people.
