Dear fellow businesses, I'm reaching out for your help.

* REDCAR'S WOMEN'S CANCER SUPPORT GROUP - Reaching out for local business support*

Last year during my own cancer and chemotherapy journey, I discovered a ray of sunshine in the form of a local support group in Redcar for ladies with Breast Cancer. They welcomed me with open arms despite mine being Bowel Cancer and it felt like a weight was lifted having someone to talk to.
Today I am cancer free and as always use my experiences to help others.

A few months ago the group was nearly going to close as one of the two founders left suddenly due to her own cancer battle. I couldn't let that happen as the group has become a beacon of hope for all the ladies who use it as well as raising more awareness that the group exists.

So I stepped up and got on board with Sue to bring a cancer support group to women across Redcar & Cleveland (not just breast cancer but any cancer that local women may be faced with).

Please help me spread the word that Redcar Women's Cancer Support Group exists.

The group is looking for:
💜 local pots of funding to help the group run and provide trips out for the ladies.
💗 local businesses to donate 2 hours of their time to come along to our meetings and provide the ladies with some self-care activities and pampering.

Painting nails, mini manicures, hair, mini head and shoulder massages, reiki, yoga, chair exercises, reflexology, tai-chi, mediation, crafting, jewellery making, having fun playing instruments, anything that can put a smile on their face during not only a physically dark time but also a mentally lonely time.

You may be all wondering where Events & Dreams has been since the world started recovering from covid.

Well, truth is last March I couldn't get through a day without needing to sleep, energy levels were whack and I felt like a 80 year old, amongst other symptoms. By June I was eventually diagnosed with bowel cancer.

It's been a long journey of waiting for results. juggling children, having surgery, and awaiting chemotherapy.

Today I start my chemo journey. Its day 1 of 12 weeks. 💉🙈

It's been a tough few months emotionally, but I'm looking forward to getting through to the other side and hopefully will be back opening my events diary in Summer.
