One week ago, McKenzie Arnold was in charge of coordinating and managing security for the Notting Hill Carnival , where we deployed more than 1,200 team members daily. The event saw an impressive turnout from both locals and visitors, with the streets alive with people enjoying the festive atmosphere and celebrations.

What you need to know for Notting Hill Carnival

Notting Hill Carnival 2024 is scheduled for this Saturday, August 24, through Monday, August 26, marking its 56th year in west London. This event is renowned as one of the longest-running street festivals globally and the largest in Europe, attracting over two million attendees, including numerous tourists, who will enjoy a vibrant three-mile parade featuring masquerade dancing, soca, calypso, steel bands, and sound systems.

Due to road closures during the bank holiday weekend, accessing Notting Hill Carnival via taxi or bus will not be possible. Nearby Tube stations, such as Notting Hill Gate, will also experience significant restrictions, with many being closed or operating on an exit-only basis for much of the day. It is advisable to arrive before 11:00 to avoid unexpected closures, as some stations may only reopen after 15:00 or 18:00, necessitating a walk of up to 30 minutes to find an operational station.

Security for the carnival is managed by McKenzie Arnold Group Ltd, who collaborates with local authorities and police. Attendees with any concerns can seek assistance from the friendly team members present at the event.

At McKenzie Arnold, we are proud to have sponsored Gus Burton’s racing in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup at the Britishgrandprix Britishgrandprix on the 5th-7th of July. It was great to watch Gus compete on this prestigious stage with our logo displayed proudly on the car and to witness his progress with a best wild card (guest) result.
An enjoyable weekend was rounded off with an exciting and memorable F1 race won by our very own 7 times world champion, Lewis Hamilton, the first person to win the same race 9 times!
As part of our investment in Gus Burton Racing, a donation was made towards Gus’ chosen charity, the Sparkle Foundation, an amazing organisation dedicated to changing children's lives in Malawi.
Further Sparkle donations were raised by Gus on race day enabling him to raise over £9,000. Gus said, McKenzie Arnold's support in making a difference to the lives of our children and communities in Malawi is much appreciated!".

Over the weekend, MAG had a busy schedule with various events, including weddings at Shuttleworth, safeguarding Britannia Village in Royal Docks, London, a private party for a client, the opening of Gymshark store at Westfield Stratford, Monster Jam at the London Stadium, and protecting the Eros Statue in Piccadilly circus for Westminster City Council.

We have been immersed in the world of motorsports, with a whirlwind of race circuits and events taking place. The British Superbikes at Snetterton provided an adrenaline-fueled experience, while the Trucks at Thruxton Race Circuit showcased the power and precision of these massive vehicles. Additionally, we have been busy overseeing all the Formula 1 merchandise stores at Silverstone F1 Grand Prix this weekend, ensuring that fans have access to the latest and greatest gear. We even got to witness the thrill of Lewis Hamilton claiming a record-breaking ninth victory at a single circuit. It has been an incredible few weeks for us, filled with excitement, speed, and the thrill of the race.

Another proud day for McKenzie Arnold Group Ltd

The MAG team had the honour of supporting The Guildhall, London for the arrival of His Majesty Emperor Naruhito of Japan, His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh and the Lord Mayor Professor Michael Mainelli and other dignitaries at the state dinner, we were naturally delighted to say the least.
It was an incredible experience to be part of such a prestigious event, ensuring the safety and security of these VVIPs and dignitaries.

The McKenzie Arnold Group was thrilled to be responsible for the security of the renowned rock band, the Foo Fighters. The band's London Stadium performance last night marked the beginning of their UK tour after starting in Manchester last week. MAG is honoured to be providing security for the band's upcoming shows at the London Stadium. Last night's show was exceptional, and we can't wait for the next one.

We take great pride in supporting and sponsoring the Presidents Sporting Club Charity throughout the year. Led by Mike Jackson, the Chairman of the President’s Sporting Club, and his team, this charity hosted three remarkable events in Essex and Hertfordshire last week. Enabling disabled children to take part in a variety of sports and activities. Despite the blustery weather, hundreds of people attended each event and had an brilliant day.

McKenzie Arnolds not only sponsors these events put on throughout the year but we also provide teams to help on the day. Here you can see some of the fantastic team from MAG helping out, along Mike Jackson, The Mayor and Lady Mayoress of Thetford and the Chairman of Breckland Council.

As Theresa May MP once expressed, the President's Sporting Club truly has a positive impact on the lives of young disabled individuals by offering them the opportunity to engage in sports and reap all the associated benefits.

We are thrilled to share that we have been fortunate to work alongside Thruxton circuit for 18 years this year. Our partnership has been incredible, and we look forward to continuing our collaboration of working alongside this iconic racing venue.

Thruxton circuit has always been a place of excitement, adrenaline, and pure racing passion. From the moment we first joined forces, we knew that we were embarking on something special. The track's rich history and unparalleled atmosphere have made it the perfect setting for some of the most thrilling motorsport events in the country.

Throughout our partnership, we have witnessed countless unforgettable moments on the track. From nail-biting overtakes to heart-stopping finishes, Thruxton circuit has consistently delivered high-octane action that keeps fans on the edge of their seats. The dedication and professionalism of the Thruxton team have been instrumental in creating an environment that fosters incredible racing experiences.

This year's BTCC weekend was no exception. As we watched the cars tear around the circuit, the air was filled with anticipation and excitement. The roar of the engines, the cheers of the crowd, and the smell of burning rubber created an atmosphere that can only be described as electric. Being a part of such a special event was a privilege, and we are grateful for the opportunity to contribute to its success.

Hiring site crew!

We're now welcoming site crew applications for various events and projects we have coming up.

We are looking for a freelance Site Manager with great experience of managing build sites at festivals as well as more bespoke management of a range of builds including hoardings on highways and residential areas to protect the event perimeter. You will be supervising and overseeing the direction of the project ensuring that the client's specifications and requirements are met, making sure the correct material and equipment has been ordered for the job. Reviewing progress and liaising with MAGs project team to monitor costs, as well as liaising with the client, other construction professionals and, sometimes, members of the public.

We are also looking for multiple site crew positions to work alongside the Site Manager, you will be responsible for preparing the site before the event and for clearing the site afterwards, taking direction from the Site Manager.
