And that’s a wrap for 23/24! What. A. Year! We are so proud of all of our students for their hard work this year. They have had performances, exams, a Tapathon, and our big Anniversary show and they have done it all with a huge “Maggie’s smile”. We hope you all have a wonderful rest over summer and we can’t wait to see you back in the Autumn term! There are already some very exciting plans in place!! ✨

Ruby Reprise is a celebration of the Dance School’s history and its founder Maggie. Iconic numbers from the previous 16 shows the school has performed will be recreated and some familiar faces will be returning for our biggest show yet!
This is a once in a 40 year event, not to be missed!

365 days after we first went virtual, Maggie Monk School of Dancing has completed nearly 1,500 lessons online, danced outside when we could and achieved both less and a whole lot more than we would have ever expected to in the last year! We are so proud of our students and how well they have adapted this last year. 🤍
A year ago today we filmed these routines “just incase”... a year on and these dances have never been shown. We had only just begun rehearsals on them and this rough recording was never meant to be performance-ready but when I watch this back I am filled with so many mixed emotions. Disappointment at the potential that never was, absolute joy at watching choreography that’s in time without any students glitching or being separated by boxes on a screen, but mainly so much love & pride for these students and how resilient they have been this last year.
