I prepared these commemorative playing cards and left them as souvenirs for guests after the magic, and magicked a coin into a solid beer bottle as the deco theme was bottled beer!

Randomness is the spice of life! 🌶️ Here's a snapshot of my recent adventures - from celebrating another year around the sun 🌞 to diving into some mind-bending reads 📚.
Inspiration can come from anywhere and everywhere, and these moments are all part of my creative journey. From Blackpool in the North (the world's largest magic convention) back to the East, with lots of friends along the way.

Today is World Theatre Day 🎭.
It's been celebrated on 27th March every year, for over 60 years.
Here are a few memories of work I have done in theatre, from performing magic, acting and magic consulting, to my trip to Stratford-upon-Avon for a special Shakespeare Nation project Henry VI: Rebellion with The Royal Shakespeare Company and Norwich Theatre.
My earliest memory of live theatre is watching the International Magic Shop convention (sadly no more) gala show at around 8 years old, at Her Majesty’s Theatre in London.
The theatre of magic has always fascinated me, and I read Aristotle’s Poetics early on, the beginning of attempts to bridge and understand magic and theatre.
Whilst I love performing in ‘theatrical’ spaces, even in an informal close-up environment can the theatre of magic be explored. There’s no denying the existence of space, players (the audience, the performer), story, spectacle and emotion.

A year ago this week I had the pleasure of shooting for a bowling alley and leisure centre promotion.
It was so much fun bowling, playing air hockey, arcade games and enjoying the food… all whilst smiling for the camera of course! 📸

We were the lucky few to be able to try out the new VR game whilst being filmed for the promo video.
We beat off the monsters but it did take two tries! 😆

Well that was 2022, a big year of change. Globally we’re all experiencing huge challenges and rediscovering normality and balance, whatever that might settle into.
To me, magic means an opportunity to explore that interaction by turning towards how we experience the world, each other, the surprises and the unexplained.
Magical highlights have been performing a feature act on stage at Norwich Playhouse, experiencing one of my best magician friends Henri White’s stage management magic and the cabaret at The Box Soho, starting and ending the year performing magic at two beautiful NYE weddings, and sharing magic at the countless other close-up and cabaret events.
2023 … more magic, more collaboration, I *must* do another full show (I’m asked often!), reading those stacked books, and of course good health and fitness - and I wish the same to you ✨.

This time last year we were wishing everyone a very merry Christmas alongside some careful advice to mix responsibly, test often and to get outdoors where possible.
It’s hard to believe that was only a year ago!
This year feels very different, with most events and gatherings almost back to whatever we call ‘normal.’
December is always a busy season and I’m looking forward to sharing magic around town, along with a *very* special NYE wedding 💍 .

I’ve had such a great time getting to know these three over the course of several shoots for Richardsons Holidays and Archant, and each time we are thrilled to be asked back to shoot again 📸 .
The photos are used around the park and on other channels to highlight the fantastic facilities and activities available, from bowling to climbing, boating and chilling in the jacuzzi… all of which we’ve had great fun trying out!

Where I am this month ✨
After confessing a slightly quieter month last month, the last week has been a whirlwind performing at a corporate event followed by a hallowe’en dinner event and then a whole day of commercial modelling at Richardsons Holiday Park ☀️ .
This weekend I’m in London for the London Magic Convention, where magicians can get together to share ideas, hear talks and watch some amazing shows. I’m looking forward to catching up with old friends 🙂.
Then later in the month looking forward to a short family getaway in the countryside before what will certainly be a busy Christmas season!
I’ve worked for a wonderful selection of corporate clients from Norfolk to London to Cambridge and to Kent, and with the busy Christmas season approaching I’m looking forward to sharing lots more magic at parties and events in the coming months 🎉🎄

It was boats 🚤 , now bikes 🚲 ! I’m pleased to be one of the new faces of the Beryl Bikes campaigns - the Boris bikes of Norwich, Bournemouth, the West Midlands and other places (although I’m guessing they wouldn’t use that expression). As the video clip says, it’s time to change how we move (I’m sure my friends at Flomotion Flomotion Studio workplace wellbeing would agree) and use healthier, easier travel modes. A fantastic sunny afternoon of filming with my co-rider Sonia and the team from Creative Concern . I’m enjoying these promotional shoots, alongside performing magic, as well as some extra/supporting artist roles such as today’s, _and_ the office work I’ve been doing for the past 1.5 months… ✨✨✨

Go out and have fun, but here’s some advice… I’ve been out and about a huge amount over the last month sharing magic at all kinds of party events. Testing before and after, sanitising myself and props all day long. Who knows what’s going on but here’s some friendly and sensible advice from Norwich City Council Norwich City Council .
