Surdo magic!

The surdo has a deep bassy sound.. perfect for our drum n bass jungle vibes!

There are 3 sizes of surdos. The 'primera' is the biggest drum with the lowest pitch. The 'segunda' is the middle sized with the middle pitch. And the smallest is the 'terceira' with the highest pitch.

Our surdo players are the heartbeat of the band and help keep the time whilst filling the stage with massive energy and flare. 🥁

Top left pic - Rory "I love playing the Surdo as it means bringing tha BASS! And who doesn't love some dirty bass!?!"

Top Middle pic - Aditi "When I play the Suro, It makes me feel alive!"

Top right pic - Em "I love when we all lock in together and the feeling of focus when playing with a huge band, I love a wall of noise and the dynamics and the booming frequencies we make!"

Bottom left pic- Kate "The naughty ones are always at the back!"

Bottom middle pic - Hannes " I really love getting into a groove with the whole surdo gang, when you can actually feel the drums (yours and the ones around you). And then, of course, when we go mad-tastic and really hit the bass of D’n’B"

Bottom right pic - Dom "The line of surdo players are the heartbeat of the band. Being able to jump around like a loon whilst playing is an enjoyable bonus!"
