The NEW Disney+ Star Wars Series THE ACOLYTE has just dropped it's first trailer, ready for it's June 4th release! So our in-house Cinematographer and EMPEROR (of the Nerds), Moobit - has sat down in his hover chair to see what all the fuss is about!?!?
ABOUT STAR WARS: THE ACOLYTE - The Acolyte is an upcoming American television series created by Leslye Headland. It is part of the Star Wars franchise, set at the end of the High Republic era 100 years before the events of the main Star Wars films. Amandla Stenberg and Lee Jung-jae star in the leading roles. Headland expressed interest in working on the Star Wars franchise by the end of 2019, and was developing a new series for Lucasfilm by April 2020. The series title was announced in December, while filming began in October 2022 and wrapped in early June 2023. The eight-episode series is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ on June 4, 2024.

Part of the Team Reflector CIC Network: https://www.youtube.com/ | Whilst out with the in-laws at Rufford Mill Ford & The Big Splash /Rufford Abbey Country Park, Nottinghamshire, I used the opportunity to film some of the local Wildlife with my Sony A7iv Camera and 16-35mm GM lens. It turned out they have been forced to (permanently?) CLOSE the now infamous Rufford Ford after the Viral videos of Vehicles getting stuck halfway across nearly broke the internet (and caused an upsurge of traffic in the area). As someone who grew up near the Ford and going through it for 40+ years, this is a sad day indeed!

Our family has Disabilities, and so we were testing the route with in mind - and we are pleased to announce the walk is perfect in this regard - with regular Benches to sit on, a flat route that is Wheelchair Accessible, and a Car Park at each end of the route (if you are in a Wheelchair, we recommend parking a High Peak Junction, as the Car Park at the Whatstandwell end is full of Pot-Holes!

On Ride POV of SPEED (No Limits) - a Gerstlauer Euro-Fighter Roller Coaster located in located at Oakwood Theme Park in Narberth, Pembrokeshire, Wales, UK. Opened in 2006, it is a custom Euro-Fighter installation, and is the tallest, fastest and steepest roller coaster in Wales. The attraction was also the tallest and fastest Eurofighter in the EU - until the opening of Flucht von Novgorod at Hansa Park in 2009. It was built at a cost of £3 million and is one of two major roller coasters at the park - the other being the Wooden Rollercoaster Megafobia. The ride begins with a vertical chain lift hill, which is immediately followed by the beyond-vertical drop, an element found on all Euro-Fighter roller coasters. An airtime hill and an overbanked 180° turnaround follows. The vertical loop is next, which is followed by a rise into the mid-course brake run. The heartline roll is subsequently taken at low speed before the track curves downward. The car continues to gain speed as it manoeuvres the downward helix which leads into the final brakes. Single cars. Riders are arranged 4 across in 2 rows, for a total of 8 riders per car. Riders are secured by over-the-shoulder harnesses.

On-ride POV of DRENCHED! A "Shoot The Chute" Water-Coaster ride located at Oakwood Theme Park in Pembrokeshire, Wales UK. Opened in 2002, it is a Mega Splash model by Intamin. The attraction opened in 2002 and was originally called Hydro - changing it's names to Drenched in 2011. The ride is 36.9 metres tall and has a drop angle of 85 degrees. The car seats 24 people and reaches a maximum speed of 80 km/h.

On ride POV of the CROCODILE ROLLER COASTER at Oakwood Theme Park in Wales. The Crocodile Coaster is a steel kiddie "Powered Coaster", built by UK manufacturer Modern Products. It was re-located to the "Neverland" area of Oakwood on May 25, 2013 - but was previously located at Camelot Theme Park, where it opened in 1992. It was relocated within Camelot in 1998, and then closed with the park in September 2012.

Mounted On-Ride POV of the TREETOPS Family Rollercoaster found at Oakwood Theme Park in Narberth, Wales, UK. Treetops is a is a Steel Large Tivoli family Powered Roller Coaster that follows the same double figure eight layout that other "Tivoli Large models" by ZIERER have designed. This particular one is built inside an old Oak Forrest, which adds a layer of whimsey to the ride!

POV of Tinker Bell Flying School - a fun flat ride found in the "Neverland" themed area at Oakwood Theme Park, in Narbeth, Pembrokshire, Wales UK. This is a standard "Flying Scooters" ride built by US manufacturer Larson International, Inc. The ride was previously known as "Plane Crazy" until the end of the 2012 season, when it was re-painted to fit in with the Neverland themed kiddie area at the park.

New for 2022 on Ride POV of the CONGO RIVER RAPIDS located at Alton Towers Resort. This once excellent Tyre style Rapids ride has sadly seen better days as of 2022. None of the water jets and "squirters" are in operation, and the signature "double waterfall coridoor" has not been switched on in many years.

Back Row POV of TH13TEEN (Thirteen) at Alton Towers Resort. Located in the Dark Forest area of the park, this incredibly FUN roller coaster had a "world first" element at time of construction- a (SPOILERS!) hidden "drop tower" style element that then launches you backwards into a pitch black tunnel full of twists and turns! 😀
