Walkways are a feature worth decorating! Collaborating with my clients, Paul & Stu, we planned a creation that would work for their evening celebrations.
The walkway was swathed in stems of faux flowers and greenery enhanced with black and white fairy lights which would pop at nightfall.
Dry ice was switched on in preparation for the guests to walk into the marquee.
Magical ✨
‘We want Star Wars’ was the brief for Paul & Stuart’s wedding 👽. And so began the plan!
I remember the first films coming out as a child living in Singapore and with a sci fi mad brother I got to experience a lot of Star Wars !
It’s a fine line working on a theme without making it tacky so we decided on a Celestial Landscape vibe looking at textures and colours with alien style flowers and a 70’s feel with the flowers reminiscent of the first film releases.
A nod to the light sabres in the tall white vases with a landscape scene at the base resembling an alien planet with moon lights,rocks, lichen, succulents and air plants. Finished with a sprinkling of galactic glitter which activates at nightfall!
A walking tunnel of flowers with planet lights framed the entrance to the marquee.
Even Darth made an appearance ☄️

I loved working with Anna to create a flower crown for her wedding. Anna wanted dainty, happy flowers to work with her bouquet.
A crown like this takes quite a long time to create and I use the traditional techniques of wiring each tiny flower and then threading them all together to a main wire. It’s so important that it fits the head properly so Anna came for a final fitting and we adjusted the crown to fit. Crowns are prettiest worn at a slight angle on the head just like Anna has hers. Using faux flowers to create a crown is a fail safe way to create a lasting and beautiful keepsake of the wedding day.
The crown also works with her faux flower wedding bouquet. Memories held in flowers 🩷

Married at Frensham Hall on a beautiful sunshiny day with meadow style flowers scented with Peach Champagne fragrance.
So many different flowers were used in creating this textural effect and sticking to a bold and joyous colour palette.
Danielle came to me with some really fabulous fresh ideas! I very much enjoyed making them a reality.

Georgie & Chris and their wedding reception at Blackmoor Village Hall which was just a leisurely stroll from the Church. This gorgeous old building lent itself perfectly to this meadow style, flower filled celebration.
We reused and moved all the flowers from the church to be reutilised at the venue.
To create this effect we used many different varieties of flowers:

The arrival of Bride Georgie on a beautiful warm sunny day in May at St Matthew’s Church in Blackmoor.
The brief was happy, colourful, relaxed flowers with lots of poppies.
The beauty and resilience of faux flowers is a joy !! Here the flowers were in the heat of the midday sun, they were then all moved across to the venue to be reused and not a single flower or leaf was damaged or affected.
Georgie and her girls kept all the bridal bouquets as keepsakes of the day, along with the buttonholes and corsage. All church decorations were hired but designed to the bespoke brief. Water Lily was Georgie’s preferred fragrance for her wedding flowers.

I created the flower diffusers following on from the fragrance sprays. I thought it was a prettier alternative to reeds and I also discovered that the flowers have a larger surface area which allows for more effective diffusion.
The flowers are hand crafted from the roots of the sola wood tree in India and I source these from a small business. I have created all the diffuser blends from scratch with each one hand blended.
The flowers start off dry but once placed in the diffuser bottle they will start to change. The rose opens like a real rose and will change colour if the diffuser has been coloured. The peony will unfurl its petals. Each flower has its own character and they will scent your home with a fragrance that has great eco credentials; cruelty free, paraben & phthalates free, alcohol free & vegan.
The flowers will absorb the fragrance for up to 3 months and go on perfuming for many months. I have clients who tell me that a year later the flower is still smelling lovely!
As this is a natural product you may notice grains of wood coming through the flower as it changes. Eventually after many years it will start to naturally biodegrade.
These make great presents as they come in their own gift box. Thanks for reading 💕

I have worked with flowers for over 27 years now, firstly for over 20 years in the fresh sector and moving into faux over 7 years ago. This decision was driven by a push towards a more sustainable way to create beautiful flower designs.
As I started working with faux flowers I realised that I could make my designs look real but they were missing the fragrance! I then started a long journey of training in perfumery and the long task of creating a fragrance that could adhere to faux flowers but also last and not dissipate. After four long years of trial and error I created my formula and it works! My products are all Trademarked and have great eco credentials.
Cruelty free, vegan, alcohol free, phthalate and paraben free.
A few squirts on a faux flower will start the process, then layer your fragrance every few days for two weeks and the perfume will go on and on…like a real flower, except it doesn’t die!
It’s been a journey but absolutely worth it and I am creating new blends all the time 💕.

For this wedding we reused the lanterns from the aisle as table decorations. We also moved the arch to behind the top table. My fave was the hoops that we hung from the roof of the marquee, they twirled and danced in the breeze like moving art.

Maisie and Alex made the lantern table numbers which really work with the vases and the slight rustic edge brought in by the log pieces. Fairy lights, tealights and candles bring the look alive and are so important in wedding decorations. Lighting is everything!
Every flower and leaf used here is faux and has been designed to the wedding brief. After the wedding we dismantle everything, it has all been refreshed and ready to use again. No waste, happy planet and a beautiful marriage 💕
