I am sorry I missed a couple of messages on Facebook before the Sheffield Show last weekend. I have caught one of the nasty summer cough/colds going around and in fact still suffering a bit, so needless to say some things have slipped thru my net ! The move to the Mosborough Hall Hotel went more smoothly than our event at the Double Tree by Hilton last year, but we have alot to think about on this one. I will keep you posted, once I am fully well again, but now looking forward to a bit of a rest before our next show in September.

Finalising the packing of the car, ready to move off to Sheffield later this morning. The weatherman says it should be nice, so that will be lovely. No drastic last minute changes or cancellations so looking forward to seeing the usual suspects on Sunday to help make this second show in Sheffield a super one. More tickets have been sold, so we look forward to saying Hi, to all our new customers.

We are sending out our postcards today for the up and coming Sheffield Dolls House Show later this month. I am hoping that the Royal Mail wont let us down again as they did for the last Lyndhurst Show - those postcards arrived over a month late and missed the show entirely! We also have a problem in setting up an advert in Facebook, but I am looking into that, so I will keep you posted.

I am leaving in an hour or so to go north to do the NANTWICH DOLLS HOUSE FAIR tomorrow at the Nantwich Civic Hall, Market Street, Nantwich, CW5 5DG. New Traders attending this time including Valerie Claire, Birdhouse Miniatures, Little Deliveries and Tennant's Tiny Treasures, so we have some lovely things available for the customers tomorrow. Look forward to seeing you there.

BBC Radio Stoke hope to do a piece on the Dolls House Fair at the Civic Hall Nantwich, taking place on Sunday 12 April 2026. They will broadcast at 10.20am on Saturday afternoon - so we look forward to the extra promotion.

It's a myth that organisers do nothing between shows, and as I don't have a show now until 24 May - we may do a little "less" but there are always things to finish / complete / even start, like our printing and advertising schedules, venue reviews, marketing opportunities, updating the website and databases., organising venues and dates for next year and how to get to our target customers ... they do say "No rest for the wicked" but there always seems to be something else to do to keep ahead of the game. That said, I am now off to get a cup of tea and to read the next chapter of my book!

I am delighted we had another super show in Lyndhurst yesterday, despite the rain and the lack of refreshments at the show. Not much seems to daunt the keen miniaturists attending and we had several new people with some very interesting items. We look forward to having many of them back again in November, as that show too is now filling up very fast indeed.

Well, it looks like I have been over-eager and added my Sheffield Show to my events diary twice! I would delete one entry but the system wont let me yet, so hopefully we get twice the fun instead!

Starting to pack the car, between showers for our show in Westpoint, Exeter this coming Sunday 1 February 2026. The Met Weather forecast says we will have an Amber warning on Saturday, but NOT ON SUNDAY - there is however (surprise!) a 50% chance of rain. Temps may even get as high as 11 Degrees with some sunshine, so we might catch a break between warnings. Doors will open early for those travelling by public transport and having the long trek up up the drive, from the bus stop.
