MAKE TIME TO WAIT
As we navigate through this world of chaos let us consider the benefits of Gods’s call on us to wait on Him.

WHY WAIT ?
• Psalm 27 v 13-14
I remain confident of this:
I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
14 Wait for the Lord;
be strong and take heart
and wait for the Lord.

As ‘deep darkness covers the earth’ and our hope and strength is undermined by enemy attacks our trust in God’s word will build our confidence to believe His promises. His goodness will prevail to overcome the darkness.

• Isaiah 40 v 29-31
He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.
30 Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; 31 but those who hope in (wait on) the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

We know there is a battle raging against in our flesh against the Holy Spirit in us. Weariness is a human condition we often have to address in this world. In this picture our weariness is overcome by the power of He who is greater in us than he who is in the world. In Him our position and ability are transformed. Like the eagle we soar higher with renewed spiritual strength.

HOW TO WAIT
• Psalm 5 v 3
In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you
and wait expectantly.

We wait because we are in relationship with our Father and are welcome into His presence. We are in communion with Him through the blood of Jesus who intercedes on our behalf.
• Psalm 37 v 7
Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him;
do not fret when people succeed in their ways when they carry out their wicked schemes.

In a world of instant gratification patience is a virtue we have to develop through the abiding presence of Holy Spirit in us to transform our hearts and renew our minds into the likeness of Jesus.

NWDP prayer points APRIL 2024

PRAY
The Hope of Spring
Heavenly Father , thank You for Spring and the hope of warmer, longer, brighter days.

And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us. (Romans 5:5-5 NIV )

PRAY
Thank You for the coming of growth and life and birth. Thank You that things are coming awake in the world.

11 And do this, understanding the present time: The hour has already come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. (Romans 13:11-12NIV )

PRAY for revival
1 May God arise, may his enemies be scattered;
may his foes flee before him.
Psalms 68:1-2

PRAY that the 2024 election process will reveal the true nature of all candidates seeking to lead our nation and that voters will chose wisely.

14 For lack of guidance a nation falls,
but victory is won through many advisers. ( Proverbs 11:14-14 NIV )

PRAY for wisdom to share our faith in these days .

16 “I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as wise as serpents and as innocent as doves. (Matthew 10:16-17)

PRAY that the ways we exercise our freedoms reflect Your holiness and Your compassion, “that your ways may be known on earth, your salvation among all nations” (Psalm 67:2, NIV).

PRAY �God, “be gracious to us and bless us and make Your face shine on us” as a nation. (Psalm 67 v 1-5 NIV )Make us strong but peaceful. Make us just and also merciful. Make us prosperous and generous . Make us a beacon of freedom and righteousness in a needy world.

Psalm 24
🔥V1)let's decree and declare - The earth is the Lords and everything in it. The world and all it's people belong to Him.
The UK belongs to Him.

🔥V2)Who may climb the mountain of the Lord? Who may stand in his holy place?
V3) Only those whose hands and hearts are pure, who do not worship idols.
We repent of worshipping idols as individuals, the Church and as a, nation, the UK.
We repent of exalting others, Ministries, family members above the Lord. Lord have mercy

🔥V5) They will receive the Lords blessing and have a right relationship with God their saviour.
Thank you Lord for your blessings. Thank you for the great success of the National Women's Day of Prayer Grimsby. Thank you for the right relationship you have given us with you and each other. Thank you for being our personal saviour. The saviour of the church and our nation. The UK.

🔥V7-10) We decree and declare over the mountains of influence in business, government, media, arts and entertainment, the Church and family... Open up ancient gates, Open up ancient doors and let the king of glory come in.
Where there is deception, corruption, false ideologies let the king of glory in.
Where there is war raging for our lives, over the church.. We declare The Lord is invincible in battle. Where the war is raging over the UK. Over the 7 mountains of influence. We say....
Open up ancient gates! Open up ancient doors! That the king of glory may come in.

🔥Position us your daughters in the land in the mountain of influence you have called us to possess, to take dominion, to occupy.
In Jesus name. For His Glory

In these end times ….

1. let us pray that we persevere in Faith
and not grow cold in Love …..

Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, 13 but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. 14 (Matthew 24:12-14 )

The Word shows the connection between the second coming and the urgency of prayer …

2 let us pray that we persevere in Prayer …..
The end of all things is near. Therefore be alert and of sober mind so that you may pray. 8 Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. (1 Peter 4:7-8 )

Jesus warned us …..

“ Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you suddenly like a trap. 35 For it will come on all those who live on the face of the whole earth. 36 Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man.” Luke 21:33-

3 let us pray that we persevere against temptation …..
Pray for those escaping their anxieties through addictions instead of receiving The Gospel and casting their anxiety on Him …..

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 9 Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings. 1 Peter 5:7-9

4 let us pray that we persevere and stand to protect our children from indoctrination ……
The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. 1 Timothy 4:1-2

5 let us pray that we persevere to only listen to sound doctrine and fulfil our calling …..

For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. 4 They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. 5 But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry. 2 Timothy 4:3-5
