Ancient Egypt, 55AD. The Emperor Nero has been invited to Egypt to attend Queen Cleopatra’s Annual Festival of Drunkenness. He’s also hoping to marry her. What he’s not counting on is a devilish plot that’s been cooked up by Cleopatra’s High Priest and her apparently chaste Lady-in-Waiting … So begins a spectacular sequence of backstabbings and double-crosses played out against a backdrop of passion, poison, and pyramids.

On a cold wet Saturday we helped to celebrate Paul’s birthday (on the day, too!) with a riotous “Ancestral Vices” at the lovely (and cosy) Beggars Barn. The whole thing was flawlessly organised by Sharon and the guests turned in some fabulous performances. Top sleuth was Geri and the birthday boy himself won the chocolates for his unforgettable Robin Graves. You were all such fun!!

Saturday’s second event was a brilliant 1960s “Burying the Hatchet” to celebrate Jill’s birthday – and it was on the day! Not only that, but she and Chris won the chocolates and the champers went to the Terson Tribe for some fine sleuthing.

Saturday’s first event was a truly riotous afternoon with Lily and her wonderful hens at Berwick Lodge. Ladies, you were such fun!! There were a host of brilliant performances but the chocolates eventually went to Lily herself while Madi nabbed the fizz for her fine detective work. Huge thanks to Jess for finding us and for great organisation. We hope you had a brilliant evening and that there weren’t too many sore heads in the morning!

We ended 2024 in style with a brilliant event for Jenna’s birthday! The audience were fantastic and looked wonderful too, but the performance chocolates eventually went to Pete for an unforgettable Sir Basil. The champers went to Rhodri for his detective work. It looked as though Jenna had a fantastic birthday!

Another riotous event on Friday for NRG's Christmas bash, and what an evening it was! Who knew that so much laughter was possible, and not an innuendo missed! The acting was brilliant, the sleuthing a little more questionable but in the end the hard-fought chocolates went to Ryan, who managed to go from Sir Basil to Tallulah Sprinkles withou missing a beat. Top sleuth was Conor. Huge thanks to Sally for organising and to the staff at The Bush for looking after us all so well. Have a lovely Christmas and we hope to see you again.

Second event of a brilliant weekend was an "Ancestral Vices" organised by Sarah for her colleagues. It was an hilarious evening with an audience who really went for it from the very beginning. Alan won the champagne for some great detective work and the very hotly-contested chocolates went to Simon whose comic timing was spot-on! Huge thanks to Sarah for finding us and to everyone for being amazing!

Two absolutely stunning events this weekend! The first was an unforgettably riotous "Bone of Contenetion" for Kim and her wonderful hens. Fantastic performances and so much laughter! In the end the chocolates went to Sarah for her wonderfully excitable (!) F***y Overman and top sleuth was Karen. Huge thanks to Yasmin for organising a brilliant evening and all best wishes to Kim.
