Smoke & Mirrors Smoke & Mirrors create fully interactive, bespoke murder mystery events for people who enjoy unforgettable nights out.

Some “murder mysteries” are simply downloadable packages designed for small groups playing at home; others are put on for larger parties with a few actors and a vague sense of structure. We give you a detailed and believable scenario, unforgettable set-pieces, excellent comedy, and storylines you can really get your teeth into. All our events feature a full cast of brilliant professional actors. T

hey’ll play out scenes in your midst, sit with you, talk to you, and let you interrogate them. Then there’ll be a murder (perhaps more than one), and it’ll be up to you to work who did it, why they did it, and what they did it with. We guarantee our events will be intelligent, action-packed, and great fun.

Another riotous event on Friday for NRG's Christmas bash, and what an evening it was! Who knew that so much laughter was possible, and not an innuendo missed! The acting was brilliant, the sleuthing a little more questionable but in the end the hard-fought chocolates went to Ryan, who managed to go from Sir Basil to Tallulah Sprinkles withou missing a beat. Top sleuth was Conor. Huge thanks to Sally for organising and to the staff at The Bush for looking after us all so well. Have a lovely Christmas and we hope to see you again.

Second event of a brilliant weekend was an "Ancestral Vices" organised by Sarah for her colleagues. It was an hilarious evening with an audience who really went for it from the very beginning. Alan won the champagne for some great detective work and the very hotly-contested chocolates went to Simon whose comic timing was spot-on! Huge thanks to Sarah for finding us and to everyone for being amazing!

Well last weekend was certainly busy! We started with a wonderful evening for the Friends of Ardingly in the glorious surroundings of Ardingly College on Thursday and followed this up with two crazy and brilliant private events. Jess’s small-but-perfectly-formed hen do was at the wonderful Orchardleigh Estate in Somerset, while Fran and her friends were having an equally riotous party in London! Huge thanks to Becky, Sophie and Fran who all did brilliant jobs of organising, and to three truly fabulous audiences. We’d love to see you again!

"Royal Blood" at the stunning Christchurch Mansion, Ipswich.

It is the autumn of 1882, and famous actress Lillie Langtry has invited the cream of theatrical high society to celebrate her forthcoming departure for America, where she hopes to rebuild her career. But Lillie isn’t counting on the arrival of royalty, the eruption of scandal, and a particularly intriguing blast from the past … So begins a thrilling Victorian black comedy of divas, dilemmas, and dramatic exits.

Tickets £35.00 fro https://ipswichtheatres.co.uk/whats-on/royal-blood-murder-mystery/

A brilliant evening last night at the stunning Great Tangley Manor helping Graham and his friends to celebrate his birthday. A fabulous audience, great fancy dress and so much laughter! There were several near misses on the sleuthing including Graham himself, but in the end the fizz went to Jo and Guy took away the chocolates for his fine Horatio. Thank you all for being so much fun!
