✨🪩💜HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO US!💜🪩✨
Lily Jones Events is 5 years old today! 🥳

This day 5 years ago I took a deep breath and launched both and ❤️
It sure has been a rollercoaster! It’s been damn hard work, late nights, a lot of tears along the way and pushing through, but we’ve made it to the 5 year point and I’m so proud! I’ve met so many amazing people along the way! Thank you all so much for your support over the years! Thanks to my amazing couples who trust me to plan and coordinate their big day and to all the suppliers who help me bring them to life and have welcomed me into the wedding community 🙌💜

⚡️🌈A huge big thank you to my amazing team! We’ve had a lot of changes recently but I think I can safely say that this current team is definitely a dream team! 🫶 Thank you for coming on this adventure with me and for trusting me! And for all the support you give me as well everyday! Today I received a beautiful bunch of flowers and a few days ago an awesome mug (I’ll share in the stories!) and how many small business owners can say that they have a team who can sense when things are tough for you and send little boosts of encouragement! 🥹

📣 So I guess this post is the perfect time for an exciting announcement! Lily Jones Events will be rebranding! And I’ll be slowly revealing it over the next few weeks starting tomorrow! It’s scary but so exciting and I’m so ready to take LJE off to new heights 🚀 I hope you’ll all follow me on the journey! 🌍 📣

✨ 174 is my lucky number of 2023! ✨
And what a year it’s been! 🫶💕

✅ I organised and ran 174 weddings and events this year! 💪 (which is probably why I haven’t posted on this Instagram in over 2 months!)
✅ I hired 4 new people to join my crazy team 🎉
✅ I launched the UK’s first alternative wedding awards! 🌈
✅ I wrote, edited and published two more issues of Quirky Weddings Magazine 🖊️
✅ Won the LuxLife Global Wedding Award 2023 for Most Unique and Bespoke Wedding Planning and Styling in the UK 🏆
✅ Took over Venue Management of two Wedding Venues 💒
✅ Passed my Level 1 Reiki Healing Certification 🔮
✅ Passed my ICS Level 5 Customer Service Certification

Professionally 2023 has been pretty darn good overall, so here’s to building on that in 2024!🤞🥂

Personally, it has been an up and down year that has posed many challenges but I’ve made it through to the other side! 💪

🩷 And that’s a wrap on Wedding Season 2023! 👏🩷
What a beautiful 6 months it’s been seeing all our couples off into married life! 💍 We ended it in style with A&G’s super chic day on Saturday at 👌
It’s definitely been a rollercoaster 🎢 and the toughest year in business so far! Of course working in weddings is a mega high but this year we’ve also sadly had mega lows as well ☹️ for the first time ever (and I hope the only time!) we’ve had to cancel and fully replan a full on festival wedding weekend due to a tragic accident a week before the big day that took the lives of not one but two of the couple’s parents 💔 We’ve had to deal with the press knocking the door down and suppliers who were not as understanding as one would have hoped! We’ve had to navigate the huge issues that this Summer’s outrageous weather brought us and so many other challenges that this season threw at us, all while dealing with my own personal tragic family news that completely ripped my world apart 💔 Wedding planning in 2023 has been far from a piece of cake but somehow I’ve made it through to the other side! 🫶
📱 As you can see, the season’s trials and tribulations are the reason for my obvious lack of social media presence over the last few months 📱

🩷 A big thank you to all our 2023 couples for trusting us with your big day! I love you all and wish you all the best the future! Please keep in touch! 🩷

✨I’m super excited to be back in the office and back to planning my 2024 couples’ weddings (which are already shaping up to be epic!), launching my new venue and jumping headfirst into an awesome upcoming Autumn/Winter season at including the first ever Quirky Wedding Awards!✨

🧡 I’ll be making some big changes to LJE over the next few months so keep an eye out for them! And we are sadly having to close our bookings for planning and coordination for 2024 & 2025 due to being fully booked! I’m still offering my Zoom advice sessions though so if you need a planning helping hand then please still get in touch! 🧡

Onwards and upwards towards the end of the year and into 2024 we go! 🙌🌈

How has it already been a year since C&S and A&D got married?! 😱 That double wedding weekend was amazing! A logistical nightmare but amazing! We pulled together everyone in the team to head between Kent and Sussex to get these two fabulous couples married!
you did me proud running C&S’s stunning backyard wedding while I was down in Sussex and looking at these gorgeous photos by and brings a tear to my eye 🩷

We were planning with C&S all through the pandemic and with A&S for a whole year so it was a very emotional day!

🩷 The sunshine has us reminiscing on coordinating Anna & Liam’s beautiful wedding day last month! 🩷 They sure kicked off our 2023 wedding season in style, both returning home to England from Australia to get wed in sunny Kent! And boy did Kent deliver on the sunshine! ☀️

🎉 Welcome to the Team Lauren! 🎉
I needed a new right hand lady and we searched high and low for a long time but we finally found her! 🩷
Lauren is our new Wedding & Event Coordinator aka wedding Wonder Woman! She comes to LJE with bags and bags of event and wedding experience and I’m so happy to have her joining the team! 🙌

Sadly my health has declined drastically from where I was last wedding season and I just can’t be running around fields and remote venues for 16 hours straight every weekend anymore. 😭 So while I’ll still be doing all the planning, prep, scheduling and logistics, Lauren will be the one bringing the weddings to life! I will of course be there the day before and for a few hours on the wedding day if I can manage it so I can see all our beautiful couples off into wedding life! I couldn’t be more thankful to Lauren for helping me keep LJE alive at what has been a really tough time coming to terms with my new limitations 🙏🏻

🥂 Gettin’ that Friday feeling! 🥂
Yesterday was shoot day so of course today is sneak peek day and oh my lordie, has done it again! 😍
Yesterday was spent with an awesome team creating awesome wedding magic giving all the chic 60s yet modern vibes! We drank from champagne towers 🥂 had balloon bubble baths 🛁 smushed as much of yummy cake into our faces 🍰 ate pizza on the floor 🍕 and danced in the rain ☔️
Because that’s what my photoshoots are about - having fun creating what you love! 🖤

💕 I’ve been trying my hardest to see how I can help my clients in these really challenging times, especially after being asked for discounts because of it numerous times. Of course I can’t pay myself or my staff less as we’re also struggling with the cost of living at the moment but I do believe that everyone should have access to a coordinator to help ease the stress of their wedding day during these already stressful times! So what I’ve created is a NEW MINI ON-THE-DAY COORDINATION PACKAGE! 💕

Our full package is still available and this is what we believe is the best way to ensure complete peace of mind but we’ve taken the essentials, managed to cut out some hours on the day and lead up, but kept all the logistics and planning must-haves and created our MINI ON-THE-DAY COORDINATION package for just £700! 🎉

Included in our new MINI On-the-Day Coordination package is…
⭐️ Coordinator takes over your wedding from 4 weeks before the day
⭐️ Up to 4 hours online consultation time
