Photos of peony bouquet and flower bucket.

It's been busy here !!

Have planted out all of the annuals, including dahlias, sunflowers, cosmos, zinnias, strawflowers & cornflowers. The wind break material is around them because it's not much like summer yet 😉

There's lots of wildlife activity...
The swallows are feeding babies...
Our resident male pheasant was chasing his own reflection around the greenhouse for ages (!!) yesterday...
At teatime today, a baby blue tit flew into the conservatory and had to be rescued... until he got his breath back and his parents came back to feed him.
We had to rescue a parakeet who was being attacked on the floor by a magpie.
Mrs Barn Owl is also very busy and we see her most nights.
The tadpoles in the pond are getting very big and have legs now They're going to be our garden pest warriers when they grow up🐸😂

Sorry it's been ages since I've posted ! It's been mega-busy here, trying to tame weeds that are like triffids😀😂 and getting the beds weeded, ready for planting out soon.

Peony season is here...with the first ones (as usual) being Pink Hawaiian Coral and Coral Charm.

It's great to see my little business getting so many new views every morning, so, I just thought I'd share a few Spring wedding bouquets in this post as well.
Thank you to Emma Hillier Photography (photo 1), Jonny Noakes Photography (photo 2) and Philip Antrobus Photography (photo 3) for allowing me to share your amazing photos x

Spring anniversary bouquet and bucket orders...with double and parrot tulips, alstroemeria, narcissi, bluebells, blossom, rosemary & eucalyptus.

Very busy here despite the monsoons and gales ! Planted the dahlias in pots in the greenhouse... Cornflowers, daisies, strawflowers, craspedia and eryngiums are all coming along nicely.

Way too wet and cold to think of planting anything in beds yet 😞 Hopefully the forecast is correct and things will improve towards the weekend.

Have a great week everybody

Easter is next weekend ...29th March-1 April...How did that happen😀🐰🐥🐣 ?!!
If anybody would like to order any Spring door wreaths, flower bouquets, bunches, trugs etc, could you please let me know asap.

Sorry, I've not been posting much lately...we're currently playing "catch-up" in the garden because of all the wet weather.

There's plenty of nest building activity here ! We cleaned out all of the bird boxes and we've seen pairs of mistle thrushes, great spotted woodpeckers, long tails, blue, great t**s, robins etc, all with beaks full of nesting material. The robins seem to be building in both stables. They all need to be a bit wary because Mr & Mrs Sparrowhawk have paired up too and are regularly visiting the garden !!
Oh, and it's frog spawn time too🐸🐦🐦 !

From seed to Holyrood Flowers !

Hello from Holyrood Flowers ! I am a floral designer and artisan flower grower. My ethos is to use seasonal flowers and to support British flower growers (whenever possible).

When I finished my floristry training at college, I continued to develop my skills with the great Jonathan Moseley...floral designer at Chatsworth House and famous for the Big Allotment Challenge on TV...I also trained with Joseph Massie who has five Chelsea Gold Medals.

I started growing my own flowers on a small scale because I wanted unusual blooms to use in my own work and to be able to give my clients “something different” to what is available commercially. This also helps to reduce my carbon foot-print.

A big part of my business is weddings. I enjoy working with couples to bring their ideas to fruition ! No two weddings are the same and I can honestly say that every wedding I design flower-wise is different to the previous ones...
