A few people have been asking if I'm making Xmas wreaths again this year 🎅 ? My order book is now open !! There's a few photos of previous years wreaths attached...All are made on a wire ring, covered with British moss and home & locally sourced foliage. Lovely and scented with oranges, cinnamon sticks etc. Plus, you may see some of my hand-made "Xmas characters" appearing on this years wreaths too 😀🤶 If there's any special requests for colour schemes/colours of ribbons etc, I'll do my best to accommodate those too !

Cheerful home-grown flower bucket orders with dahlias (still going strong !), cosmos, verbena, sedum, spray roses, rosemary, pampas grass, panicum and eucalyptus.

I've already been asked if I'm making Xmas wreaths this year and the answer is YES 😃🎅🤶Will post photos etc nearer the time.

Flower bucket order with home-grown dahlias, sunflowers, cosmos, sedum and other little beauties😍💐

On the wildlife front, we have three young barn owls flying around and also one surprise captured on our cam ! Another young barn owl who is ringed🦉

Our three baby swallows are now flying well and will be heading somewhere warmer soon😀

Hope everybody's enjoying the sun😎Never thought I'd say this but a little bit of rain would be very helpful☔️ !!!

The dahlias have been slow to start this year but are now "coming into their own" ! Growing more bee-friendly/open varieties, as well as the fancy and pompom types😍🐝

Just a few photos of the cutting garden taken this morning. It's absolutely "buzzing" with bees, pollinators and lots of butterflies 🐝🦋 The first dahlias are out (those left in a bed in the winter).
Love the mix of flowers in the buckets and arrangements at this time of year😍💐

It's been so busy here 😀 Sowing lots of seeds, potting on seedlings, planting the dahlia tubers etc.
Since it's been so warm, it's the year to direct sow 😎!! Another wild flower bed for the bees, pollinators and butterflies plus some more food this year. You can't beat home or British grown produce 😋
Flowers in the bucket include alliums, Sweet Williams, tulips, centaurea montana, astrantia and peonies.

From seed to Holyrood Flowers !

Hello from Holyrood Flowers ! I am a floral designer and artisan flower grower. My ethos is to use seasonal flowers and to support British flower growers (whenever possible).

When I finished my floristry training at college, I continued to develop my skills with the great Jonathan Moseley...floral designer at Chatsworth House and famous for the Big Allotment Challenge on TV...I also trained with Joseph Massie who has five Chelsea Gold Medals.

I started growing my own flowers on a small scale because I wanted unusual blooms to use in my own work and to be able to give my clients “something different” to what is available commercially. This also helps to reduce my carbon foot-print.

A big part of my business is weddings. I enjoy working with couples to bring their ideas to fruition ! No two weddings are the same and I can honestly say that every wedding I design flower-wise is different to the previous ones...
