As a 60โs baby Chris grew up in the era of Elvis Presley/ Cliff Richards enjoying music at a young age. Musically he joined School/ Church choirs and enjoyed music but could not grasp the ability to play instruments. After leaving school Chris worked in factories, one in particular played Reggae / Calypso/ Soca music all day whilst at work and thatโs where his love of Jamaican music grew. This led to an opportunity to get involved with mobile discos with a Jamaican work colleague, he had the equipment and Chris had a ford cortina mk3 estate. Together they played at various Jamaican house parties in the south London area where they would start at 6pm and still be going at 6am. After this Chris gained employment at a CIU workingmans club where he was at first involved behind the bar, this led to Chris becoming entertainment manager, booking live acts and providing a diso. Fast forward two decades and Chris got the opportunity to broadcast live on his local community radio in 2012 playing 70โs music for 3 hours. After 7 years Chris wanted a challenge and the station accepted his request to do a Reggae Show, at first 1 hour but within weeks itโs acceptance and sucess prompted a two hour live show. In November 2019 his work commitments changed and he could not broadcast live, so had to leave the station. In 2020 Chris was invited to join an online radio station the Reggae Show was reborn.
