This lovely bride just happens to be one of my lovely friends. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves snapping your special day 🥰 They had their beautiful ceremony at Canford Parish Church followed by a wedding breakfast at Parley Manor and the awesome Bill Ding & the Skyscrapers for their evening reception. The dance floor was packed! Happy days 💕

We’ve had a wonderful summer full of camping, days out, volunteering and of course photographing weddings 😍 we’ll be sharing those over the next few weeks but for now here’s a few highlights from one of the weddings back in May.

Congratulations Mr and Mrs Knight who got married at Abbots Court Rural Retreat & Wedding Venue. Beautiful venue, lots of laughs and love shown from this lovely couple throughout their special day.

On this day six years ago we begun our own adventure. We were fortunate enough to tie the knot as part of a destination wedding in Mauritius, but with our initial day being postponed due to a cyclone we found the photographer was going through the motions with lots of other weddings to catch up on, and we didn’t feel our photos were very personal. Thankfully we had a camera with us, so decided to take matters into our own hands and take some photos for ourselves. Fast forward six years and we put passion into ensuring every couple we shoot is made to feel special and heard on their wedding day!

We’re excited for our busiest year of weddings yet in 2024 😍

Woohoo! Dan has won Amateur Photographer of the year! 🎉

The prize money has been invested in new gear for our weddings next year, we’re looking forward to seeing what it can do 😊

I can't quite believe I'm writing this, but it brings me a tremendous amount of pleasure to share the news that I have been awarded the title of "Amateur Photographer of the year 2023".

The competition, ran by Amateur Photographer magazine had over 12,500 entries this year from nearly 2,500 photographers all around the world, so I'm staggered to even finish in the top10, let alone first overall!

The prize was awarded after I finished first in the final category "low light" with my image below - titled "bus stop" this image was taken on Portland last year just outside the Heights hotel, so it's even more pleasing to win such a prestigious competition with a photo taken on home turf!
