We had a fantastic time Totally thrilled to be a part of this wonderful group of people. To catch up with and was just excellent! This is what I love about The Cotswolds Wedfest group! That we florists are the same but that each of us has our own unique style. This gives you a choice to choose who fits best with your wedding vision. We are under the one roof! This is the same for all The Cotswold’s Wedfest vendors. Great for us and even better for couples. Thanks to my wonderful daughter .gee89 who came along to help me out. A star! And thanks to the couples who stopped to chat. It was so lovely meeting you all! 💚🍃🍃

One day to go until the Cotswold WedFest! Seriously the best place to go if you are getting married. Come and check out all the vendors that are involved in putting a wonderful wedding together! Too many businesses to list so you’ll just have to come and see for yourself in one of the best villages in the Cotswold’s, Burford! See you there.

Wow what a find this weekend exploring Dorset on-route home with kiwi fiend Nikki. I saw the sign ‘Pythouse Walled Garden’ and off down the back lanes we went to find it. What a treasure! Lunch was eating food from the garden in a rustic greenhouse-like building. Just so gorgeous as the staff were warm and so welcoming too! Then I saw the sign PYO flowers. Just had to do it. The experience there was just magical. And it made the perfect memory for Nikki to take back home to NZ 🙏💚 THANK YOU!

A Sunday pick - a bit of this & that. Boscobel is my new favourite rose that just has to be inside so that I can smell it constantly! Always picking to encourage more roses to bloom before the summer ends. Along with the carnations grown in pots in the greenhouse - doing very well in the extra warmth. Chocolate cosmos, vanilla frais & antirrhinums for more scent to amp it up just a little bit more! An excellent way to start the week 🥰🍃🍃🍃🍃

Having a fantastic time in Scotland with kiwi friend Angela. Stumbled across Floors Castle in the Borders today all because a Kelso shop keeper told us about their delicious food! Got far more than a great lunch. The gardens are absolutely stunning. The glasshouses impeccable and beautifully laid out plants in groups. The orange tree was grown by seed by the Head Gardener 20 years ago. Just magic and fruiting! Glorious peony border. A memorable day out exploring the Scottish Borders. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🍃🍃

The dusky pink rose is called ‘La Vida Loca’, the colour of the bridesmaids dresses for today’s wedding. Always a popular colour for weddings. I’ve been eyeing up the lunaria in the garden for weeks hoping it would have gone to seed for this wedding. Yes!!! I am thrilled to use it as it catches the light coming in through the stained windows of St Peter’s church. Creating beautiful green orbs in a gorgeous building.

Florist life…It was a wild rainy day on Thursday creating a spring arch for Jemma & Jacks wedding at the beautiful Coln church. The arch was anchored down with large stones and Scott secured the arch tip with wire. It wasn’t going anywhere unless it turned into a hurricane! Knowing that wind gusts were predicted (they came) and cool rain (came too - great for the flowers &foliages to keep super fresh!) We monitored the arch for a while to double check all was well. Soaked and happy with all, we headed to the Vicarage for coffee with Clare!

What an amazing day today at the with my daughter Charlotte helping me. We met lovely people and many more fabulous Cotswolds WedFest suppliers! A great way to spend the afternoon chatting and being serenaded by the talented and The acoustics were just so beautiful in the church …still buzzing!! Next WedFest is 2nd November so mark it in your calendar you won’t regret it!

At Barnsley House today I’m creating the house flowers. All freshly picked from the gorgeous garden there. It’s what I love to do - use seasonal flowers straight from the garden then create the arrangements. You never know sometimes if you’re going to find some gems. Finally I have a video for Fig Leaf Florist that shows what happens here in my corner of Hamilton. Flowers are what I do but its really about the wonderful people that I get to meet on a daily basis that make Fig Leaf a special place.
