After being awarded in The Portrait Masters Awards in 2020 and 2021 I submitted more entries in 2022 as this was a very busy year for me. Photography had become much more than a hobby and thanks to continuous learning and experimenting it became so busy it started getting harder to fit everyone in. However, it was such a good year professionally. This time around I got a surprise AGAIN! I got no less than 6(!) Bronze awards. This has become a yearly reflection point for me and I can't wait to see what this year will bring. I have already booked on a VERY exciting professional development event which I'll share more about later in the year. Currently, I just wanted to encourage everyone to follow your dreams and challenge yourself! What a ride it's been so far and I'm so happy having found my calling. These are my Bronze Award winners from 2022.

After receiving recognition and the awards in 2020, I had more courage in 2021 and entered The Portrait Masters Awards again. I had been busy photographing focusing on dog and pet photography. This time it was curiosity that made me submit my entries. Once again I was blown away as I received two Bronze with Distinction Awards! This cemented my belief that I was on the right track. I'm so happy to share the two awarded photos from 2021. These are my highest awarded photos to date.

The first time I entered a photo competition was in 2020 when I became a student of Sue Bryce Education which gave me direction and changed my outlook massively! It was a huge international competition at The Portrait Masters Awards. Photos are judged by a panel of expert photographic artists twice a year. Images that receive a score of 70 or higher receive a bronze, bronze with distinction, silver, or gold merit.
The first time I entered I could NOT believe that TWO of my photos received a bronze recognition. This meant that my (at the time) hobby might be not only something I LOVE but THAT something I am actually GOOD at. These awards truly meant the world to me and it defined my focus for years to come. I'm so honoured to share the two awarded photos from 2020. I'll share my continued journey in posts to come :)

I photograph love at different stages in life, and it made me think of these remarkable words below:
