The garden is absolutely thriving this week, and with a promising forecast for the upcoming week, there should be lots blooming. It seems like white is the dominant color in the garden this week. #cutflowers #localsales #surreyflorist #cuttinggarden #flowerfarmer #grownnotflown
This week marks the celebration of British Flowers week. The event is currently organized by Flowers from the Farm, of which I am pleased to be a member. Throughout the summer I will have lots of British blooms that I will be making into bouquets for local sales. If you are interested in British flowers, please get in contact with me Julie Teal, or come along to Warlingham Fair at Blanchmans farm on Saturday, June 15th from 11 am to 4 pm, where I will be showcasing British flowers together with Jayne Crear from @holwoodflowerfarm #britishflowersweek #flowersfromthefarm #britishflowers #summerflowers #surreyflorist #flowerfarmer #warlingham #sanderstead #woldingham
Taking a few days away from the garden and visiting Paris followed by a visit to Givenry to see Monet’s garden.
After lots of walking around Paris we stopped for a coffee break at Cordelia Coffee Flower shop, I’d recommend it if you are visiting and want to take a relaxing break. The ambiance was lovely and inviting - we didn’t want to leave! #paris #florist #flowershop

I’ve never attempted to take cuttings from Dahlias before, so this will be my first try. My goal is to propagate more plants from each tuber and produce a greater number of flowers. Fingers crossed!
For the cuttings experiment, I’ll be using the tubers I have recently purchased. As for the tubers I already have from previous years, I’ll pot them up and plant them outside once they’ve grown sufficiently and the risk of frost has passed. #dahlias #dahliacuttings #cutflowers #flowerfarmer #warlingham #chelsham #propogation #surreyflorist

It’s really easy to propagate herbs, especially mint in fresh water. Simply let the cuttings sit for 3 - 4 weeks, changing the water once a week, and before you know it, you’ll have a strong root system ready to be transferred into a pot. This method, I’m told, also works well for sage, lemon verbena, and thyme. What plants have you tried propagating using this method? #gardening #seedlings
