Big night down at The Fisherman - Stevenage last night for our monthly SpeedQuizzing! Without last month's winners present, the door was open for anyone to climb to the top. But after five rounds, our latest champions are The Three Beers!

Quizzing Up The Walls took second place, with a tub of Heroes going to Norfolk N Good for sixth.

After playing a good game, it was last place for Simpletings for the 20 point head start next time.

It was also good to see a couple of my Tuesday regulars from Jolly Postie - Royston! Sadly though, 1 Dumb 1 Blonde finished in fifth. Hopefully it was still worth the journey!

A quieter Wednesday at The Old Swan this week, which paved the way for Drink While You Think to get an easy second win in a row! They were briefly overtaken in the last round, but not for long - they soon took the lead back and stayed there.

Finishing in second place were the ladies of Little Tink, and our new players proved they weren't quite the Brains Of Bletchley they claimed to be as they won the 20 point voucher for last place!

When the news reached me that half of Royston had gone to a big fireworks display in Cambridge, I was surprised that we had as many as 12 SpeedQuizzing teams at Jolly Postie - Royston last night!

A few less players gives everyone a better chance at winning, and this week our new champions are Missing Lil. The Lil in question is Lily who works at the pub, and while she was busy working her family came to play for the first time and thrashed everyone!

Second place was taken by last week's winners Norfolk N Chance, and Roger and Neo finished in sixth for the tub of Quality Street.

Our two bottom teams had to leave early, so the 20 point voucher went to It Takes Two, who finished in 10th.

The big news was that the whole rollover jackpot of £75 was won by Not Last Place Again in a very lucky spin of the wheel! Congrats to you! So the new jackpot starts again next week at £20.

Different SpeedQuizzing winners this month at Black Horse Chorleywood!

Gen X took first place soon into round 1 and held on most of the night before losing it briefly in the final round, but then clawed their way back to the top!

Last month's champions, The Labradors, finished 5th this time for the tub of sweets (which they shared outside afterwards), and we gave a bottle of Prosecco to our runners-up, The Quizzly Bears.

Finishing at bottom for the second month in a row was Tick Hunts!

This week's SpeedQuizzing winners at The Gipsy Queen!

Even losers are winners, as last place takes a 20 point voucher for a head start next time. So well done to GW Comedy for your efforts!

In first place we have Bruges Boys, followed by Exes And Hoes. Quiz Crescent took the sweets, and Sean W played for the jackpot but that rolls over AGAIN to become £240 next Sunday.

Pure genius! Those costumes blew me away last night at The Old Swan in Bletchley for my final Halloween SpeedQuizzing night of the week.

Taking the prize for best dressed just HAD to be (and backed up by a vote from all the players) our bar team, Tab and Jordan. Jordan was dressed as ME!! What could be scarier than that?

Our quiz winners were Drink While You Think, followed by Geoff Capes Budgie Smugglers, with Simple Minds taking the Trick Or Treat sweeties for sixth place. And in last place we had Hug Me I'm Scared for the 20 point voucher.

To It No Ice played for the jackpot but failed, so it's £120 next week!

A phenomenal turnout (I would expect no less) for our Halloween SpeedQuizzing night at Jolly Postie - Royston this week!

A lot of effort was made with your costumes, but it was unanimously decided that the prize for the best dressed team should go to Red Hot Quizzy Peppers! With their prize for that, plus finishing in second place, they left with TWO bottles of wine!

Our winners, by just 17 points, were Norfolk N Chance, and the tub of Trick Or Treat sweets went to Not Fast But Furious Family Edition. Finally, having had to play alone this week, Roger as Si Gon took the 20 point voucher for last place.

NONE of the rollover jackpot was given away, so that makes it £75 next Tuesday!

Small but perfectly formed, our Halloween SpeedQuizzing night at The Lord Kitchener - New Barnet had seven teams with so many players dressed for the occasion!

Alex and Enfys not only won the spot prize but the whole quiz!

After Hugo and Shane finished in bottom place at our last quiz, with the addition of Josh this time they took second.

In last, but definitely with the best costumes, were Black Magic Women.

We had a busy night at The Gipsy Queen this Sunday! While most of you didn't dress up for our annual Halloween SpeedQuizzing night, you certainly made up for missing out on those points by scoring a lot of them in our rounds!

Dee BDay Werewolf won by a whisker, with Team Mix coming a close second. In sixth for the spot prize was the brilliantly named Farokh And Roll, and taking the 20 point voucher in last place was 0171 (so named after a question last week about the dialling code for central London in 1998 which they were the only team to get right!)

We still couldn't give away the rollover jackpot, so that'll be £220 next Sunday!

Thanks for playing at The Chieftain - Welwyn Garden City last night! While Shaun is away, Lee stepped in to host SpeedQuizzing for nine teams, and our latest winners were Bin LINER!

Sarantom Of The Opera finished in second, and the tub of Quality Street was awarded to Muckas for fifth.

Last place was Today's Specials, who Lee should have given ONE voucher to, not the whole sheet! You only get 20 points head start next time, not 80!

Shaun will be back for the next one in two weeks, on Tuesday 5th November.
