Some very high scores at Big Jay's this week! It was all down to Insane Kitten Asylum, who were in the lead by more than 300 points going into the last round, so by the time the fasttracks were done, EVERYONE had some huge numbers!

They finished in third place, and our new winners are Tequila Mockingbird! Strando Norris finished second, with I Thought This Was Speed Dating taking the spot prize AND the bingo win, in which they rejected 50 points and won the Poundland crap (a sheet of pirate stickers)!

Sheila Bruce Dingo were last for the 20 point voucher.

Good start at our latest venue last night! 12 teams didn't let the football get in the way of coming to play SpeedQuizzing at The Grafton Kentish Town, with some new players but mostly our long standing regulars from our olden days at The Gipsy Queen.

TEiAM took another win by a substantial lead over Justice4Owen, who also won the Speed Bingo. They not only didn't win the money, but spun the wheel a second time which lost them their bonus points and they won the Poundland crap instead!

Gunnersaurus PDF finished halfway for the choccies, and we had a tie for last place but as one team had left early I gave two 20 point vouchers to Sarah.

More next Sunday then!

The new week starts tonight! All our SpeedQuizzing events are happening at these venues:

* Sun: Our first night at The Grafton in Kentish Town, NW5. Under the same owners as The Gipsy Queen previously and South End Green Social, this is our new permanent Sunday home! Get settled in by 7.30, first question is at 8.

* Mon: I'm back in the marquee at Big Jay's Smokehouse & Grill, Newport Pagnell, starting at 7.30pm

* Tues: Our crazy busy weekly quiz at Jolly Postie - Royston

* Wed: While Shaun is away, Owen will be covering The Millstream - Hitchin while Alex will be hosting at The Cellar Bar Bedford

* Thurs: Our always packed monthly quiz in the conservatory at The Fisherman - Stevenage

Two of my four monthly Thursday SpeedQuizzing events are now long established, and now after only a couple of nights, my two newest places are also very busy!

This week it was the monthly go at The Jolly Farmers - Enfield, with a full function room of 30 players across seven teams. Without his team mates, one of last month's winning team members only managed last place (as a twosome; the other bloke took off before I got his picture).

Osmans Girls got within a whisker of victory, and had they been quicker to answer the final question they would have won! But with a gap of just ONE POINT between them, they conceded defeat to our new champions, Mini Sheep.

New team No Clue Crew put in a great performance, finishing in 4th for the spot prize.

Thanks for a lively night. Looking forward to doing it again on Thursday 25th September!

As it's been a while since we last gave away the rollover jackpot at The Cellar Bar Bedford, we did a guaranteed win last night - and Matt, of Quiz Everywhere Son's Crying who also finished the quiz in second place, won the £150! The next jackpot starts next week at the same amount.

Our winners were Rehab Is For Quitters, and new team of two Namsiens finished in 5th place and won the spot prize of a box of Jelly Babies!

An impressive turnout straight after the long weekend! 14 teams this week at Jolly Postie - Royston, and after many SpeedQuizzing teams took the lead on a fasttrack it was Not One Man Down who quietly climbed to the top on their skill alone!

The rollover jackpot wasn't won, so it goes up to £200 next Tuesday. See you then!
