Shaun had the SpeedQuizzing thing going on at The Old Swan in Bletchley last night, and with only 79 points separating the four teams what we lacked in quantity was certainly made up for in quality!

This Sunday's SpeedQuizzing at South End Green Social brought us nine teams, including several players who had never played before. It was the experience and knowledge of our long-time regulars that won the night though!

Alex and Alex would have had a second win in a row had it not been for their handicap points deduction dropping them to second place, leaving the top spot open to Ex's & Hoes!

Every Thursday I run a monthly quiz at one of four different pubs, and this week it was the turn of The Red Lion - Hatfield. The beer garden was busy due to the extremely hot weather, but the air con inside was lovely for me and our 12 teams!

The top 2 were separated by just one point, giving Quiz On My Face their first ever win. The teams who had been doing better earlier couldn't afford to be complacent this time due to the use of two types of fasttrack, but you snooze you lose!

Last month's winners Minnie Mouse finished second, and Quizpicable Me got the spot prize (I hope the chocolate didn't melt on the way home!)

In last place were Beer Pressure, earning them a 20 point head start next time.

Next Thursday I'm at The Jolly Farmers - Enfield for their first monthly SpeedQuizzing, but I'll see you lot back in Hatfield on July 17th!

Shaun hosted our twice-monthly SpeedQuizzing night at The Millstream - Hitchin last night, and I decided to go with him! It was a terrific night, but it sadly proved that I'm a rubbish player.

The best of the lot were S****d B*****s X who finished at the top (no doubt the algorithms will take that in the worst way possible, hence I'd better not type their name out), with Risky Quizness as runners-up.

Quizzpy Ducks got the sweets, and Shaun gave the head start voucher for next time to Dizzy Fab Five.

Thanks for venturing out on a hot, sweaty Wednesday, and we hope to see you at the next one on July 2nd!

Something I don't ever get the chance to do when I'm hosting a quiz myself is take pictures of the teams mid quiz. But with a night off tonight, I went with Shaun to our SpeedQuizzing night at The Millstream - Hitchin and caught this lot off guard!

In case you're wondering, I finished in last place. The only positive I can take from that is that I must be a better host than a player!

The actual winners, who clearly haven't just landed on Earth as I obviously have, will be posted here tomorrow. Once I've stopped crying.

Some good news for a hot, sunny summer day: from 10th July, I'll be hosting SpeedQuizzing at Yorkshire Grey in Biggleswade on the second Thursday every month!

This Greene King pub has just had a refurb and is looking AMAZING. They open the doors next Monday and the management have big plans for the place, including our very lively interactive quiz night with Owen!

All of our Thursdays are monthly quiz events:

1st Thurs every month: The Fisherman - Stevenage
2nd Thurs: Yorkshire Grey, Biggleswade
3rd Thurs: The Red Lion - Hatfield (tomorrow!)
Last Thurs (starting next week): The Jolly Farmers - Enfield

Wild times in the boiling hot Chieftain - Welwyn Garden City for this week's SpeedQuizzing! Shaun had a dozen teams, thirsty for a cold drink or ten, and for a win!

Only one team can come out on top, and it was Muckas for the second time in a row! And here's a strange result - after winning in May, Serious Camels finished last this time!

The ice cold drinks were flowing on a hot SpeedQuizzing Tuesday at Jolly Postie - Royston! We had some amazing scores from our equally amazing players, and having led the pack all night but dropping down to fifth place in the final round, I Am Smartacus climbed back up and took the glory! And on Loki's 14th birthday too, which made it the icing on the cake.

Proving that a wide range of ages makes the best team, Quizonyerface managed a very close second place.

It Takes Two won the sweeties this week, and I gave away TWO 20 point head start vouchers - one to Olos, and one to The Mumbleweeds.

A great night with regulars, newbies, a lot of knees on show, and we'll do it again next Tuesday!
