Our wonderful couple Louise & Hanson’s stunning autumnal wedding at .

Our beautiful bride and groom wanted to create a relaxed and fun filled day for their friends and family with delicious food and a classic, elegant look for the day. Their vision for the styling included lots of soft foliage, sparkling candles and soft blush and cream tones, for a timeless look. We thought the finished result was absolutely perfect for the beautiful venue at Newhall.

So excited to share Alison & David’s absolutely stunning July wedding, on their family’s farm, in Sanquhar.

Ali and Dave live abroad in Oz, so chose to use our full event planning service and we spent many months on zoom calls and emails bringing this beautiful day to fruition.

Our beautiful couple managed to dodge the downpour that followed that day, to fulfil Ali’s dream of being married in the family garden, with the most stunning view out over the family’s fields below.

A tented reception for dinner, drinks and dancing followed. The drinks were flowing and party was wild to say the least.

We then turned around the space, the following day, for a BBQ where the summer sun finally made an appearance and guests chased away the hangovers with Bloody Mary’s and Pimms.

The best part of this job, is the relationships we get to form with our couples. Sometimes, if we are really lucky, after the day is done, they end up feeling more like friends. We are lucky to say that we feel that way about Ali & Dave (& their lovely families). What a joy to be part of such a wonderful day for such wonderful people.

The very beautiful Sam & Liza’s destination wedding .

This couple and their families were such a dream to work with, such lovely, kind people and they had so much fun throughout the whole day.

Our bride wanted to complement the décor in the two dining spaces so we created a slightly different look for each space. Classic whites and greens and soft, Spring pastels.

We have some exciting news to share. We are thrilled have partnered with the stunning as their in-house event caterer. Kinclune is currently undertaking an extensive development of a new exclusive use steading venue space, which will be available for bookings from early 2025.

Set in the Angus Glens, near Kirriemuir, this meticulously restored courtyard venue, will offer a luxury, purpose built and exclusive use event space, for up to 90 guests. Accommodation from the magnificent Kinclune House and 3 cosy cottages can house up to 28 guests.

2023 you’ve been a blast! Such an exciting year, with completing the build on our new premises, growing our amazing team and being part of so many of your special days. We wouldn’t be anything without our amazing clients and staff, who keep us falling in love with our work year on year. So grateful and so excited for 2024. We worked with the wonderfully talented bunch from the @scotsmanhospitalitygroup to bring Ursula’s vision for a romantic, candlelit wedding to life - every inch of the venue was styled to perfection. Amazing entertainment from the roaming band @thephatcats and @kcandthesunshineband had the dance floor packed throughout. Special shout out to Lucy @premierweddingsscotland for your flawless planning skills. Ursula & Paul you were the most chilled couple and just exuded such happiness and love the whole day. Creative Directors; Susannah Nixon and Sophie Arnot, have more than 10 years experience in the catering and events industry, working for some of the UK's most prestigious brands and venues. Platter and Pop is the coming together of our passion for great food, fabulous parties and exquisite styling.

Life is full of highs and lows and we fully believe that the highs are not only worth celebrating, but worth celebrating well.
