The clouds are shifting away and it's a bright and breezy day here at Highley Station, part of Severn Valley Railway's heritage line. Our Vintage Fete Games package will be ready and waiting for you from 11am to 3pm today.

IT'S MOVING MONTH! 😱
Over the next 3 weeks we'll be moving from Mid to North Wales and our internet will be short term sketchy at best, so any emails or messages may suffer with a delayed reply. We have a few bookings remaining, and have sent emails out to those hirers suggesting if they need us, to call us directly. It'll be a bit quiet over the next couple of weeks on here, but we have *SO MANY* greats things in the works, so don't run away now! 🤣 Z&C x

To beep or not to beep! Are you keeping the tradition alive or do you have fond memories of hearing the beeps when on holiday? 🌤️

Did you know that the famed A*5 "Beep-Beep" tunnel between Penmaenmawr and Conwy in Gogledd Cymru is named as such in tribute to two builders who lost their lives during its construction? Well, that's the unconfirmed rumour.

For those unaware, many drivers will honk their car horn twice in the tunnel and the two honks of the horn was supposedly originally done in tribute to the two workers, with one beep for each. Nowadays, many keep the tradition going whilst unaware of the actual history behind it!

What a fabulous time Chris & I had on Bangor’s, Garth Pier in North Wales today! 🌞 The weather shone beautifully for the ‘ceremonial’ handing over of the key for #6 and we cannot wait for you all to see how this beautiful Victorian kiosk will look after all the old Penny machines fill it up. Will you be paying us a visit when we’re up and running?🤞🏻

That's our schools/colleges/university bookings all done and dusted now; we've thoroughly enjoyed meeting so many young (and older) folks enjoying our vintage games packages this June and July! SCHOOL IS OFFICIALLY OUT FOR SUMMER! 🌤

We've got two more weddings and a corporate party left before the big move and looking forward to moving onto pastures new. For all who have supported us whilst based in Mid Wales, many thanks indeed; we'll miss you! 🥰

BIG NEWS! We're taking our travelling Old Penny Arcade and moving it into a Victorian kiosk on the very beautiful Garth Pier, Bangor. Our 'official opening' date will be Saturday 26th August 2024, but if we're ready before then, we'll let everyone know on our traditionalfairground.com and our social media sites! Yes, it's true! We made the decision to move back up North in 2021, and it's taken this long to finally get there! 😂

Today we're in Stoke on Trent at the rather wonderful Gladstone Pottery Museum for their 'Wakes' holiday; a memorial of the much enjoyed week off Victorian potters earned for working so hard in such an industrial environment.

Yesterday we were delighted to be in attendance for our final ever London booking and what an event to finish on! The very beautiful Leighton House in Kensington (the former home of Lord Frederic Leighton, famed Neoclassical artist, who painted ‘Flaming June’ in 1895) Now a museum, Leighton House hosted a very special evening for all their members. The weather was perfect and the attendees had a superb time enjoying the Victorian theme! 💕

Huge congratulations to our fabulous wedding couple Lucy & George who tied the knot at the very beautiful yesterday! 💕The mid Wales weather definitely put in a mixed appearance but the venue had the perfect place for our games and even our 15ft Striker fitted like a glove! 😅

We do love a good wedding booking and last Saturday, we set up our Vintage Funfair Fete Games Maesmawr Hall, for Tarna & Nathan's big day! We're always over the moon when wedding couples feel they can send us their precious photographs, as we believe it helps other prospective wedding couples see how the games may fit in with their own reception theme. We had quite the amount of dm's yesterday evening from eagle eyed viewers who spotted some of our Vintage Funfair Fete Games on ITV's Emmerdale. We were delighted to be able to feature in their 10,000 episode and thoroughly enjoyed seeing our attractions taking pride of place outside the famous Woolpack. Thank you for having us Emmerdale and congratulations on your anniversary! 🥰
