It’s time to be very clear about what a ‘Registrar Celebrant’ or ‘ Celebrant Registrar’ is and explain what they do and don’t do. A Celebrant Registrar is a local authority official employed by the Register Office who can complete the legal registration of your marriage and, inspired by fabulous Celebrant weddings, they are increasingly adding in elements of choice to their ceremonies. Do they offer the same wedding experience that I do ? No No No ! absolutely not! An independent Celebrant - me- creates wedding ceremonies that allow you to celebrate your wedding in whatever inventive, creative way you would like. An independent Celebrant will work closely with you usually over many months, meet with you, connect with you on a personal level, get to know your favourite book, film, poem, meet your dog and plan their involvement in your ceremony, get to know your children, listen to your hopes and dreams for your wedding ceremony and then make them come true. Absolutely no limitations, no restrictions. You will work collaboratively together with your Celebrant to perfect the ceremony and on the day your Celebrant will be there to welcome you, deliver your ceremony and ensure your dream ceremony is a reality. There is absolutely no comparison ♥️ I will get down off my soapbox now 🙂🙏

The one thing I love most about my job is seeing all the different ideas you come up with on your Wedding Day.
D & S's day was no different - look at this idea for a table plan. Each "washing line" represented specific tables. The Guests found the photo of themselves and sat at the designated table!

When paying Suppliers cash on the day, prepare for final payments for Suppliers in labelled envelopes and hand them to a trusted person.
Also, notify your bank that large withdrawals will be made during a certain period of time when your final balances are due in the last month or so before your wedding.

As your Wedding Coordinator, you'd be surprised with some of the tools I bring with me to your Wedding Day to ensure your day runs as smoothly as possible;
Here are a few of the essential bits and pieces I can't do without at most weddings...

🎤PA System and Microphone - for those all-important announcements to get your Guests to the right place at the right time;
🎂Silver Decorative Cake Knife - Admit it, you hadn't thought of this for your cake-cutting photo;
🔪Kitchen Knife and Cake Slice - You will probably need me to cut your cake up to serve to your Guests;
⚠Reserved Signs - To ensure there are seats accessible at the front of your Ceremony area for your Wedding Party;

Other things I have been known to need at Weddings - Doggy Poo Bags (Don't ask), Dog Lead (Yes, one wedding crasher was of the four-legged variety!) Hammer, Alan Keys, Screwdrivers, Sewing Kit, Blue Tack - And yes I had them all with me!

Berwick House was the beautiful setting for Sarah and Lee's wedding day in the Summer. A wonderful outside ceremony (Fortunately, the weather held off!) followed bu a formal wedding breakfast and a festival-style evening reception with food trucks and a live band to get the party started.
