The brilliant Cardboard Boat Race is returning in four weeks time, Saturday 17 September from 9am to 4.30pm, to the harbour.

Put your skills to the test in the IMechE engineering challenge - build a boat out of nothing but a few bits of cardboard and some sticky tape, then sail it around a course in Plymouth harbour!

This awesome event will take place at the PDSSA Boathouse, Commercial Wharf, on the Barbican, and is one of the additional highlight events of the Plymouth Seafood and Harbour Festival which takes place over the weekend.

About Me

Ive been entertaining with magic since I was 6 years old. In 1989 I worked summer seasons with Haven holidays and Brittany Ferries performing children’s magic and balloon shows on daytime crossings with as many as six shows a day. I retired "DangerZone" in 2001 when my son was born but continued to work performing close up magic for private and corporate clients including Peugeot UK launching the 206 and 206 cabriolet making one appear from nowhere inside a hotel!

Since then I have performed all over the world with close up magic including inside the highest building in the world the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, Canada, Europe, France, Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg, Portugal and all over the UK.

To date I perform at many corporate black tie functions including many Armed Forces dinners, Sainsbury's, Vue Cinemas, Virgin Trains and countless others whilst entertaining at numerous wedding's and naughties celebrations. Occasionally I still do the occasional children's party too.
