Submissions now open for Coastal Currents 2024
31 August to 30 September
{Open Studios 31/1 and 7/8}
It is that time again already!
*EVERYONE CAN SUBMIT AN OPEN STUDIO, EVENT OR EXHIBITION TO THE FESTIVAL*
All you need to do is fill out our online form and submit your Open Studio or Event/Exhibition to the festival programme by the 10 May.
Help create trails all across Bexhill, Battle, Hastings, St Leonards, Rye and Eastbourne. We also accept submissions from rural areas such as Robertsbridge, Fairlight, Pett, Camber, beach huts, public interventions, outdoor pop-ups, flash mobs and more…
If you are a first-timer considering taking part, we can even help you work out how to pull off a crazy idea or who to speak to, to make things happen. You even have time to put in an Arts Council project grant (under 30k) and have a decision in June. So if you would like a free zoom chat about an idea you are ready to make happen this September, you can book a session here:

YOU CAN SUBMIT A LISTING FOR ANYTHING THAT WILL FALL WITHIN THE FESTIVAL PERIOD (SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER 2024)
coastalcurrents.org.uk/2024-submissions
Every listing comes with a print and online presence, dot on the map plus marketing materials including correx outdoor sign, posters, flyers and more…
We promote the festival through PR, socials, wide brochure distribution and partners, creating as much footfall in September as possible to attract buyers, commissions and audiences for your work!
As an independent local festival - although we have applied for Arts Council funding (fingers crossed) we need you all to get involved and submit an event, to help raise the promised match funding and make this year better than ever!
You can also book advertising space in the brochure or on the website to support the festival. This allows you to design your space however you want and promote whatever you want. Download the media pack here: coastalcurrents.org.uk/support-us
We are also looking for wall locations for murals, so if you know an accessible wall space on a non-listed building, give us a shout at [email protected] and we will take care of the rest.
Lastly, if you want to help by volunteering and getting involved or have any accessibility issues with applying to the festival, please get in touch [email protected]
